Scotland any R56 owners get a proper discount?????

I am a current R53 MCS owner but one of my friends is trying to order a new r56 MCS so i asked him for his spec and contacted the sales girl at grassicks mini in perth where i got mine

Gave her the spec and asked what she could do

To my surprise her attitude was "WE DONT OFFER DISCOUNTS ON NEW MINI'S" she said the best she could do was chuck in a full tank of full instead of the normal ten quids worth you normally get.

Has any new R56 drivers out there got a decent deal on ordering there car?

Hiya

I originally got a limited deal, but when they delivered the wrong car, I have since had a few additional elements added, so it's not a bad deal now

Hopefully will get the new car on Friday

Stuart

Think yourself lucky on the Full tank of Fuel, its generally always been that way at MINI Dealerships. I think I got some polish & a sponge in a MINI Rucksack , If your really lucky you`ll get TLC thrown in but thats your lot !!

Just ask for one with a properly aligned bonnet which doesnt leak fuel or have a noisy gearbox & be happy if you get that

I read somewhere that somebody siad he got a 1200 or 1300pound discount.

I didn't get a discount, but my MA threw in rear fog light and carpet mats. Their attitude from when I started shopping was, "You shouldn't get a discount for getting a car that you wanted and spec'd for you, should you?" HAH.

It was Euros not Pounds. Discounts are common across most of mainland Europe!

I managed to get the price of the aero kit reduced from £1600 to £1150 to match the deal offered on here to mini2 members by Derek Woodman, when I placed my order at Stratstone Harrogate at the weekend - basically they absorbed their higher labour rates to clinch the deal. Got nowt else tho

On my R53 Cooper, I managed to get TLC thrown in for free!

Sorry to rock the boat but I got £500 off.
Admittedly it wasn't on the car but the "extras" e.g. GAP, TLC and Tyre insurance.
I have however bought 3 cars from that dealer so that might have helped.

MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime

How much did you pay in the end then? I am being offered GAP, Supaguard (or whatever it is these days) and tyre insurance for £599 at the mo, and that is with £100 off

It covers you for blow outs, and punctures, but not wear and tear for up to 4 tyres during the duration of the cover - not sure of individiual cost, as was only offered the package

Just dug my invoice out...
GAP is 280, TYRE 250 and Supagard another £299, add TLC and that's over a grand.
Actually list of my car is £19.9k, I paid only £19.3k so got a decent £600 off. Dealer even let me off the additional £40 for the road tax as it's just gone up

Hmmm - So Hyperthetically speaking, say after a couple of years you were down to 2mm tread on all tyres, & you ran over a box of nails that some careless person spread across the road, would they be obliged to replace All 4 with Brand new ones ?
