Offline | Anthony Leaving Woodmans Due to family commitments and time travelling I have made the difficult decision to leave Derek Woodman Mini.Over the past 18 months I have met a lot of new friends on MINI2 and without the help and support of the people on this site events like the Guiness World Record challenge and the Illumination Runs would not have occured. So that i don"t leave without saying a big thankyou to customers past and present I have decided to post this announcement.I hope that people will still continue to support Derek Woodman as a dealer as there are a lot of fantastic staff who work here who have a genuine interest in the MINI world. Dave (bubblegoose) is taking over from myself and I hope we can all wish him the best of luck with his new position. Once again thanks for all your help, custom and support. Best wishes Anthony Jones. Derek Woodman Mini. ![]() |

Offline | Sorry to hear you're leaving Anthony, but as a person with a long commute every day I can sympathise. Would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the fantastically professional service you have provided me during my MINI ownership. Best of luck in your new place mate, and as Rakey says don't be a stranger. And while I'm here congratulations to Dave on his new role. A worthy successor. Best of luck to you both. ![]() |

Offline | I think that Woodman's have lost a top bloke here. If only Carlsberg did after sales managers like Anthony. He has always returned calls quickly, and has gone beyond the call of duty when helping with technical issues, particularly here on M2. I'll be honest - shortly after I moved up from London to the (grim ) North I didn't expect that much from Derek Woodman service and it was pretty average in terms of quality - not brilliant, but not bad. However, I noticed after Anthony joined that it became more friendly but still professional. He has always gone out of his way to ensure my car/s have been looked after properly. And I know that he has always taken care of other customers the same way - it is this type of quality that has endeared me to the dealership. It's a shame that he isn't going to Audi because the local dealer up here could benefit from his experience and learn how to look after potential customers ![]() Anthony - I wish you all the best with your new position. Be sure to pass on your new details to me as I'd like to keep in touch .Good luck to Dave too who is stepping into the role - I'm sure he will also be excellent. ![]() To anyone who has issues with their current dealer I would urge you to consider using Derek Woodman. Even though Anthony is going, Dave, Chris and Alison are still there .260909 ![]() |

![]() Excited.. | As sad as I am that Anthony is leaving us, I am ever so chuffed to have been offered the excellent opportunity for this challenging role that Anthony has made look ever so easy. I really do have mixed emotions.. a good friend/work colleague is leaving our little family. Yet, on the other hand I have been given his role of the MINI Service Manager by the Woodmans Management Team, with special commendations by Derek himself. I am truly flattered that the Management Team here can see my potential & have realised my passion for the MINI brand & even said themselves that I uphold the "MINI ethos". Discussions with various people here all say it will be an excellent move to make for my career through the motor trade. I've only just turned 25... in 10 years time, I'll have 10 years managerial experience & 7 years Service Advisor experience.. A must for someone who wants to climb the ladder. My heart is in sales, my mind is telling me service... People who know me, know I always follow my heart. Except for this occasion. The staff turnover rate here is so low, the opportunity like this isn't going to come about too often, so it made it a job I really couldn't refuse. ![]() I'm sure with the support from my close colleagues here like Ali & Chris will make the transition as easy as possible. I have the backing of the BMW Service Management & will always be safe in the knowledge that Anthony Woodman (Dealer Principal) will be able to give me guidance if/when needed. Wishing Anthony all the best for the future, I'm sure he won't be a stranger & us here will be sure to give him a send off he truly deserves.. He really will be missed by us all ![]() Good Luck mate! Dave ![]() |
