Williams Bolton

What a poor service department.

- Printer not working
- 1 member of staff on at 8am, despite a long queue of people waiting

Car goes in, as the emissions light is coming on now and again.

Phone call 1 - You need new tyres! Thanks but no thanks.
Phone call 2 - You have an alta induction kit, thats causing your light to come on.... we can't do any more work without charging you.

Last time I was there with my old JCW they refused do warranty work because John Cooper Garages fitted the works kit and not a franchised dealership. They want closing down absolute disgrace.

Advice, don't use Williams.

Think they will be closing there are plans for Williams to move its HQ from Manchester to Bolton to beat the Manchester congestion charge.

I would have to say Rochdale is worse though! I found Manchester much better but then I was dealing with someone I knew before.
I called in to David Holmes recently and yes I was impressed with there aproach.

Williams Manchester

Problem: Steering column sounds grindy

- Mini say bring it at 11.30am we will have a look at it

- Arrive to have it checked

- Erm sorry you will have to leave the car with us as it may take hours

- You never told me this before i made the journey

- Would you like to reschedule?

Go to BMW on Upper Brook Street (Part Dept)

The guy comes out has a look at the car, he speaks to Williams Services, advises we need just to top up the oil, sorted.

Why can Williams not have someone to "look" at the cars rather than inconvenience and annoy its customers?

Every time ive been there someone (other than myself for a change) has been fuming at the service desk!

Its a worrying really that a guy in parts can resolve a problem which the service dept cannot be bothered to look at.

Williams Manchester should be avoided!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah they're better, used to be called Benham. They sorted out my JCW and clutch under warranty, Williams wanted £1500 notes off me.

Pretty good Renault wanted £85 to Diagnostic a Laguna to tell me what was wrong with the Satnav/Radio and upwards of £600 to sort it out.

(Good old Mikey £30 to fix it done and dusted.)

I havent actually used the service department for anything more than 1st service and thats just Rochdale they have been ok but the Mini Showroom service is very poor.
