Oh dear god no, we don't. The ones who pronounce it correctly are from the New England region, however that all flies out the proverbial window once you start traveling west and south. Seems people WANT to add an H where none exists. Almost as if to imply that it sounds like Dorchester.

I'm always correcting folks over the phone at work. I go by this explanation, "Ok, say wuss, and then ter, now say it together!" It works. :-)

I dropped my Cooper D off at Robert Sterns today for diagnostics checks and general looking over after a few probs.
I popped into the MINI bit to see where I had to go and spoke to Andy (as I'm 'his' customer) and he was just as helpful as ever - I don't know if I'm being dopey or what but they either have long memories as I wasn't forgotten.

The service side was a bit different as its BMW, you kind of feel like you're not supposed to be in there (maybe being 22 I was just being looked through!).
The service guy was a bit sharp when I was taken to the courtesy car (Cooper S) "we expect it back with whatever fuel you've used back in"...which was all good and well but it was nearly empty!

Needless to say it will be going back nearly empty too
