Let Down By Stratstone Dealership aftersales.

I assume that this is Stratstone in Doncaster. I have used Stratstone in Harrogate and have nothing but complements for them. Their service was quick and polite etc. I wonder why a dealer owned and ran by the same people is not as good. Is it a bolt on to BMW or do they have a separate premises. I found that when Harrogate was a bolt on, their service was shocking, but since their move, their serivce has improved dramatically. Sometimes even the best of us make mistakes though - you have to remember that!

I know a good few people that have had problems with Stratstone's Doncaster and Chesterfield, I have used Stratstone's in Harrogate and they where ok, not great but OK!

Sorry to hear everyone having problems with Stratstone.

I've haven't had any problems with Stratstone Doncaster, so far !
I've had two Coopers from them & had the first serviced by them, only thing I found was they were always an hour or two over when it came to collecting the car, but never really bothered me.

I've only dealt with Derby a couple of times for accessories & all OK so far.

Not surprised to see stratstone here..... Ive just had a some dealing with Stratstone Tyneside for 2 cars. 1st was replaced after 6 weeks....... nothing but a shambles will never ever deal with them again.

Im convinced they dont do the AUC correctly, currently compling a letter to Mini UK.

When I went for my 2nd MC, Stratstone Derby ordered the car with the greyscale UJ on the roof. When the car arrived, private plate fitted + other options fitted etc, I went to take a look. Imagine the surprise on my face when I saw the white roof......

Needless to say I was a little upset, and proceded to crash my motorbike on cold tyres when leaving the dealer - £800 worth of damage.

Eventually got the right car a month later - with some freebies.....

Oh, I also had my previous MC broken into whilst the car was with them overnight. It was the only car targetted. Needed new window, stereo, CD, trim panels.......

I got my Cooper S Cherished back in May from Stratstone Tyneside and the service i have had from them has been great. Got my car within a week of finding it with no problems, but when i got it home i noticed a chip on the windscreen that they missed and i hadn't noticed on the test drive. I rang them up and they booked it in for a whole new windsreen to be fitted within 2 days without a second thought.
About a month later i broke down because there was a hole in the radiator, they came out within 20 minutes, filled the radiator up with water and followed me back to the garage. They kept it in overnight and i got a brand new BMW to drive around in while they fixed it!!
I now have a problem with a loud squeel coming from the clutch when i pull away (which they haven't heard for themselfs) but they have put down that the clutch is a little heavy so i can get a new one under warrenty as the real problem wouldn't have be covered - this car may have had a few problems but they have gone out their way to help me so far =)
