Offline | Ok, when MINI's first came out I was appaled that BMW was taking over a British institution... But, thanks to a friend of mine in the states, who never ceased talking about how much she loved her MINI, (She is one her third now), I had to go visit her and see what this craze was all about. While on holiday with her, I aqcuired that blood poision called MINI Obssesion. So...Now I must have mine. I am going this week to put a down payment on my build to order Mini Clubman S with roughly $8,000 in options: Comfort, Cold Weather, Nav, LSD, Custom Interior, back up sensor, Alarm. My question to the collective here. What is the best way to not pay Full price for said options? Or what was your experiance in interacting with the dealers? I know they have to make money like the rest of us, and I know they make GOOD money, or they would not be doing their job. I just do not want to be fleeced any more than the next guy(or girl). Thanks Dex |

| Loves the Fuzzy One | Hi Dex, sorry to tell you but MINIs are generally MSRP. You may be able to get a bit of a discount but nothing like you see on American cars. If you can get $100 off and some swag it's a good deal. If you forgo the Clubman and go for an in stock 07 MC, then you may get a serious discount. ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | AprilWhine, First off(is this my first post?), congrats on the Clubman! I was at Motorwerks last weekend and I might have seen it there waiting for you - very cool color. Anyways, we're looking at putting down $ soon and ordering and I had a few questions for you and your experience there. I get the msrp thing, but I wanted to make sure that we don't end up seeing bogus add-on fees and other things. Anyways, let me know if I can bother you here or if I can pm you. Thanks much! |

| Loves the Fuzzy One | Fire away weinerdog! Either here or PM is fine with me. I liked dealing with Motorwerks, they were honest and stuck with the deal. I've had other dealers try to add junk charges at the last minute and MW didn't do any of that. They did offer the extended warrenty and clear bra but didn't push when I declined. This was not your first post. You posted twice back in 2005 about a demo MCSa that dropped a transmission on your test drive.![]() Global Moderator |
