I didn't buy from them, but have had service. They did my 10,000 oil change and warrantee replacement of my windshield. Everything went great other than some confusion over how early they would be open the next day.

Great people. Excited about MINI's

Hi, I've been following mini2 for monthes and found it VERY informative. You'll probably be filling me in on how NW MINI is after the sale closes. I finally gave in and went over there in Aug.'02. Checked em out and took a ride in a Cooper and an "S". Twenty minutes later I'd ordered an "S" ($500 deposit gets you on THE list) Delivery date of FEB/March give or take. I go by every other week or so to check in, flip em some lip about where my car is, and tell em I need a fix, "Let's go thrash a demo". They take it well!!! I've since checked out a couple of other dealerships. Sacramento is out!! Frisco we're a bunch or arrogant jerks. Portland wasn't gonna come up with what I wanted any sooner than NW MINI. Getting to your question, can't answer, but my gut feeling is they're playing straight and just going through growing pains.

I went in there in May. Totally indifferent floor help. I asked how I could get on the list. They directed me to a legal pad where I wrote my name, e-mail and number. 5 weeks later after they hadn't contacted me I called. They looked me up and only had the wrong telephone number and e-mail. They fixed it. I put down a $1000 deposit. I'm told to expect delivery in March for a Cooper. They want a $500 extra fee cuz they can. I contact Brian Harris MINI in Baton Rouge, LA. They can get me the same speced car in October at MSRP. I'm now driving a great car, had a great road trip back from Louisiana and the pleasure of not having over-paid at NW MINI.

I'm sure they are "average" but that's about it.

Damn...........Hope that was just "growing pains". Coopers are still a bit more numerous than the "S" and they've got an ever changing inventory now. I left out that I'm waiting for an 03BLK/BLK/BLK. The price is MSRP+what you put on it. Got that in writing (we'll see what that's worth)

In September we put our deposit down at NM Mini...the process was simple and the sales staff professional. The April 2003 delivery date was perfect timing so time will tell how the sales experience will be...so far so good.

I'm sure NW Mini will work out just fine for you. It's probably growing pains, which all new dealers experience. 5 months isn't too long a wait, though I'm not sure why it's a few months longer in some regions than in others. I ordered some touch-up pain from NW Mini and they can through. A good dealership after all

I bought a MINI from them last Sunday (11/10/02). They were fantastic. The staff was friendly as can be, and very cool.

I've called them regarding a couple of small issues since then, and they've been responsive and very helpful. I'm taking my car in for some minor repairs (the taillight seals are bad... a common problem from what I can see). I'll certainly let you know if their service dept is bad, but I sincerely doubt it. The guy I talked to on the phone to schedule the appt was very cool.

I have yet to deal with anyone that was unprofessional, surly or even indifferent. They were busy (most of the staff was at the Seattle Auto Show last Sunday), but they were very, very nice. I have nothing but great things to say about them!

And no, I'm not the owner!

I also bought my cooper S and waiting for the boat to unload her in early December. I cant say enough about Tim at NW Mini. They are honest and have surely gone the extra mile for me with Aftermarket parts.

It was well worth the 500.00 fee. Some are charging more and frankly I want them to stay in business so I dont have to go to Portland.

Also love to flip them crap at the parties they throw.

Really good dealership...

Just do NOT trade a car in with them. PM will get you the story. Other than that, they are great. All the guys there are extremely helpful and seem to be genuine Mini nuts.

Except one person .

NW Mini Trade In?

Although we have our car for sale private party we were considering a trade in at NW Mini. Can you offer more detail on why not to trade in with them?

Great to see NW is a good team...we are anxious to get our Indi Blue Cooper!

Yikes... care to name names? I haven't run across anyone yet that was not cool. I was there yesterday to get some minor stuff done, and they were great.

My Mini

Cooper with the Premium Package, chrome, and sport seats. Indi blue with the white top and silver 8-spoke wheels. Any advantage of the 8-spoke vs. 7-hole wheel? Although we have picked the 8 I am wavering on this small detail.

We are excited and looking forward to an April homoecoming.

Tim

The 7 hole wheels are much lighter, and lighter is better. I also think they look better as well.
