Scotland Fairbairn Giffnock Glasgow

Got a call today from the MD of Fairbairn GG to tell me that I have a new Mini after enduring a year of problems with an early build Cooper.
I could not have dealt with a nicer company and got a more satisfactory outcome.
Although I had many many days off the road I was always provided with a replacement car ( occ a Vauxhall ) and my comments and criticisms always taken seriously, esp with the backup of Mini2 forum comment.
In summary I took a chance with an early build car and was compensated correctly and in a gentlemanly fashion.
Can I record thanks to Duncan (sales) Penny (sales+sympathy) Tom(tech) Bill(service) and Tom (MD) for their help and courtesy in resolving a difficult problem.
The only personal hell I have now to endure is the new car spec.........

Dr Mike

Sounds good
But don't forget 'good service' should be the norm and not the 'exception'

Whoa! Don't get me started on the whole Harry Fairbairn thing! To start with they were nothing but sweetness and light to me, but after I got the car and a few things started to go wrong they didn't want to know! I picked up the car, and it had a scratch down the pasenger side, I pointed it out to them before I drove the car off and they promised to get it fixed, but it took them three attempts to finaly give in and re-spray the door. They kept saying that it was difficult to buff out and if I was satisfied with it as it was (obviously still scratched, so the obvious answer was NO!!!). I'll admit that Penny was very helpful, as was Duncan, but as far as the service to the car went, I am glad that I moved to Edinburgh so I don't have to deal with them again! Unproffessional, plus my new dealer guessed which company I got it from (without me mentioning a city or name) just by my story, so they must have a bad reputation.

Anyway, I love my wee car (Gaia) and think that she was well worth the hastle!
