| MINI2 Regular | Dunedin of Edinburgh Hi all. I have a Cooper on order from Dunedin of Edinburgh and was wondering if anyone has any experience of their service - good or bad. I suppose it would have been wiser to ask before I ordered the car but too late now! The car is due for delivery round about 25 November and I can't wait! Offline | Hello, service so far has been not bad. only complaint is that they promised me a cuckoo clock as I had no trade in and got no discount on an almost 17k car. After taking delivery I later enquired as to when I would receive it they said that "it was not included in the deal". Lesson to us all get it in writing, or don't pay till the goods are on the table. I did receive 2 bottles of wine which I believe every new buyer gets from the dealership. Good dealers will give you a free TLC pack in you do not have a vehicle to trade in. Regards |

Offline | I went to both Dunedin and Eastern in Edinburgh. I ordered from Eastern as the trade in offer from Dunedin was a total insult. The trade in offer from Eastern was £500 more still not very good as I sold it privately for £1000 more than that Paid list price of course and got a luvly bunch of flooers Eastern have been great for me so far. Offline | I understand that you wouldn't have to wait so long for your car at Dunedin than you would have, had you ordered it from Menzies in Stirling. I was quoted an additional month's wait at Stirling. Now whether that is just sales bull I don't know. morrisminiminor |

| MINI2 Regular | I've found out that my car should be delivered to Dunedin on the 18th and I will hopefully be picking it up on the 21st of November. Next Thursday! I had no trade in either and had to pay for the TLC. I didn't ask for it to be thrown in though, to be fair. A bit much to expect them to offer it for free I suppose. With hindsight perhaps I should have pushed for something extra to be included. I just paid list price for the car and all the extras. Maybe I'm stupid! Who knows - perhaps they will through in a Cuckoo clock when I pick it up. I'll post back and tell you how it goes!! Offline | Good luck with your car when it arrives. You should be easy to spot. Not many black/white MINIs around Edi that I've seen. Good choice, a very nice combo that. Watch out for a silver ONE waving and flashing you ![]() Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | I got mine from Dunedin, got the thermal mug thrown in when I collected it. Despite it being back 6 times since April I haven't had any other goodies. The service itself isn't bad - they'll sort out any problems ASAP and when required will offer a courtesy car (usually a ONE). The only other B&W Cooper I've seen is Brian's. I'm assuming you've got it by now ??? In which case I'm wasting my time typing a message to you as ypu'll not be about to read it![]() McMINI Adventuring across Scotland |

| MINI2 Regular | No, I haven't got it yet! Picking it up on Thursday. Went down to have a look at lunchtime today though! You can see it by clicking here! Thanks for the feedback - reading between the lines, you don't seem overly impressed with them? Offline | They're Ok - it was MINI in general that I was getting annoyed with but all my niggles have been ironed out now and wouldn't have any other car The car is lovely - look forward to seeing you out and about and on some MINI runs. cheers Calum McMINI Adventuring across Scotland |

| MINI2 Regular | I asked today about getting some of the memory functions programmed, like the lights staying on and the comfort opening and was told that they can't do it cos they don't have the software! Seems strange to me! Black Cooper, White Roof, White 5 Stars, Chrome Shark Gill Side Vents, Red & Black Cloth/Leather and Silver, Chili Pack, Single Slot C.D. Offline | I was never even got made aware of such functions. You would think that seeing as the question has been asked they would at least offer to get it done elsewhere ie Eastern! Good luck on Thursday ![]() McMINI Adventuring across Scotland |

Offline | They SHOULD have the software Eastern certainly have it. They changed the function of the press and hold from boot release to comfort window opening and activated the follow me home lights. They also programmed a second remote key for my wife. All this was done FOC as my salesman arranged it for me. I think 2003 cars have comfort opening as standard as the boot release doesn't work very well. It's pretty cr*p really that one dealer can do these simple things and others can't. You'd think MINI would make sure dealers would have all the right tools. I bet with the software it would take seconds. Your car is a beauty. I really like black/white. ![]() Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | Press and hold the button on the key and the windows roll down. If you've got a sunroof I think that opens also. This is a really important feature in Scotland as it lets out the scorching heat that builds up inside the car It does look cool more than anything. I got it done as the remote boot release was a waste of time for me as I still had to press the button on the boot anyway ![]() Red/Black R56 Cooper |

| MINI2 Regular | Were the follow me home lights programmed as standard? I live in a flat and will be parking in the street and dont think I could leave the car and trust the lights to go out! I would end up hanging around to make sure they went out! I suppose you can just turn them off before killing the engine? Offline | The function wasn't programmed when I picked up the car but I had it added If it is programmed if you turn off your headlights before you turn off the engine they go off. If you don't they stay on for about 45s. Not long now - a sleepless night for you perhaps Ken. Red/Black R56 Cooper |
