Crevier MINI

I picked up my MCS DS/B this afternoon and it was a wonderful experience. I bought the car from Crevier and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

There have been a lot of negative comments about Crevier on this board so I imagine people would be interested why I bought from Crevier when Long Beach is only 30 miles away.

Crevier is located about 2 miles from my office. That's a definite plus. They offer free car washes Monday through Saturday, free loan cars during service as long as you make an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time and free shuttle service to SNA airport about 5 miles away. These services all cost the dealership money and they all have real value to me. They're not free.

My sales associate was named Christian and he was a really straight guy. He did everything I asked of him. I want him to be there when I go back. And the receptionist, Shirin, is a pleasure to talk to.

Yes I paid a premium. So why did I do it?

There was a time when I cared more about price than relationship. I don't feel that way anymore. Now I care about both. I want to know that the dealer will be there when I have a problem. The margins on these cars are not high. If you only pay sticker, you limit what the dealer can do for you in return. I want more than the minimum.

I was the 256th buyer since the dealership opened in March. That is some good volume but the margin based on the sticker is less than 10%.

I'd be curious to know what other people are getting in terms of extra services over the long term when they only pay sticker for an S.

This is the first time I bought a car and didn't get a discount from the sticker. It was also the first time I really enjoyed the transaction. I love the car. And the whole process was a lot of fun.

For those who drove to Long Beach, I hope they'll be happy with the service they'll get. Right now, they've got more money in their pockets than I do. But I plan to have this car forever. So let's see where we stand in five years.

'tis a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done...

Crevier Experience

Carton,
I am with you 100%. I haven't received my MCS yet, but so far my experience with Crevier has been excelent. I too paid a premium over sticker but, hey... there was no way I was going to wait 10 months for the car to arrive (like Long Beach). Crevier is also just around the corner from my house, so they are going to be the dealer that services the car. I would rather give them the business in thanks to their straight shooting than purchase from somewhere else.
Hands down the best automitive buying experience I have ever had, and I have owned over 50 cars.

Cheers,

You're welcome. As I said, let's compare notes in 5 years.
