| MINI2 Regular | Princeton MINI? Hi all you MINIacs. I've been lurking for a few weeks now, really enjoying all the posts and pictures! I test drove a MINI at Princeton BMW/MINI in Princeton, NJ and fell in love...with the MINI! I'm seriously considering a purchase, and was wondering if any one else has experience with Princeton MINI Dealership? If yes, how would you rate your experience? I live near the Jersey Shore so Princeton MINI is the closest, at around 45 miles west of here. Thanks for your time! Mighty Boognish |

Offline | I don't have much to report yet, since all I did was take my test drive and place my order at Princeton. But I've spoken with almost everyone in the sales department at length, including the sales manager. They all treated me well and gave me a felling that this is a fair place, typical waiting time, no sales premium, no pressure to buy unwanted extras. There have been a couple of negative threads here about the service department, but nothing recently. And if they are selling 40 Minis per month, 2 negatives might not be bad (unless you're one of them). Tom MCS EB/W in March '03 |

| MINI2 Regular | I work about 1/2 mile from Princeton Mini, so naturally I went there when I was ready to buy. Unfortunately, I was a little naive and didn't realize I would have to wait 9 months for a car! Problem is that I already committed to sell my car to my sister, who needed a car much sooner than that. I tried working with John to buy a car off the lot. They occaisionally get orders cancelled. Problem is when that happens, they immediately load the car up with dealer add-ons. Once I made it clear I wasn't willing to pay an extra $3000 for nice wheels, he stopped returning my calls. So I bought the car from Habberstad Mini in Long Island, but I plan to try getting the car serviced at Princeton. Yes, I've read about a few bad service experiences at Princeton - I'm hoping they were isolated incidences, but I intend to be careful... ~Paul 03 Elec Blue/white MCS Prem/Cold/Fog/Nav Ordered 8/9/02, Built 9/27/02, Home 10/29/02! 71 Volvo 1800E (weekend classic fun) |
