Any news on the Dallas Mini or the Indianapolis Mini?

I live in dallas but have family up in indy...i was wandering if you people have bought cars from either? I have test drove the mini at both places. The indy dealership said that they wont be marking up the price over MRSP. But that was this summer. The Dallas mini said that they were marking them up ( i think $1000 for the cooper and $2000 for the MCS)..anywho, anybody have any input for me?
thanks

okay...so i guess nobody has bought a car from either yet...anyways, i called john roberts mini (the dallas one) they said all the sales people were out on test drives and that they would call me back...this was at 6:30... so at 8:30 i thought i would give them a call back to see what was up..this was when i learned they close at 7:30...so for 1 full hour nobody could pick up a phone for 30 secs to answer one simply question for me...so i left a message to have somebody call me tomorrow...

Yeagy,

If you can bear to wait just a little longer, MINI Center should open in San Antonio in six weeks or so. Their staff, formerly of neighboring BMW Center, has been really good to me so far, and they seem genuine and friendly. I believe they'll also be selling the cars without markups and such.

Most of the forum knows that I had some trouble with Momentum MINI in Houston at first, though they've since apologized and been much more user-friendly. BruceK had his MINI serviced there recently, and gave the service crew a good report earlier today. Momentum adds $3,400 to the car, but the manager has said they may review that policy in a little while; they've only been in business for some two months now.

Peace,
wynn

Just picked up my car from Dreyer & Reinbold yesterday. Fantastic experience. I faxed my order to Amanda, sent in a $1k deposit. Bought car at MSRP. No pressure to get anything else, but I did get a couple of things. Get car from Amanda 1 800 875-2269 or (317) 574-5511.

Thanks Wynn/Goldmbr - Was Amanda the cute little girl there? If i rememeber correctly brownish hair, short, skinny...if so, she was the one who gave me a test drive...I talked to john roberts here in dallas today (they called me back) and the sales person said that the mark-up was only for cars on their floor. Its a $1000 for the MC and $2000 for the MCS. (like i said before) If I want to order one, it would be here in may and I would only pay MRSP. I really am not in the position to wait for a car. My jeep likes to over heat twice a week. When it is not overheating then something else is going wrong, not to mention the 9-11MPG.

Thanks guys

Yes thats Amanda. Ordered mine and paid sticker. Very knowledgeable of the Mini, knew the answers to my questions, thorough explanation of car at delivery time. I can't say enough good things. But they are busy. She delivered 16 cars last week. Had 6 to deliver yesterday after me! You will not be disappointed.

They had one yesterday with a sunroof. I'd call them, have them hold a car for you> You never know.

i tried to get a Mini through John Roberts. Mind you they were very very friendly but I simply could not agree to pay $3k over MSRP for a Cooper S that might arrive in January. So I looked on autotrader and found a beautiful EB/W MCS with only 550 miles for sale. We checked it out and bought it, so I got the car (in Nov) and payed about the same as if I had gotten a brand new one at MSRP.
