Latest buzz on Otto's MINI dealership?

Has anybody in the Philadelphia area heard any news about when Otto's expects to open? I've had it with Don Rosen's service rep Neil (does he practice being rude or does it come naturally?) and West Chester isn't that far away for me.

I heard January - so about now. I wonder if Otto's will have a loaner program? What's the story with Neil over at DR?

I was hoping to hear something from Otto's but they seem to be pretty quiet. Loaners seem to be pretty much reserved for Bimmer buyers, I guess.

As to Neil Kilkenny and Don Rosen, please read my earlier post on this thread. On re-reading the post, there isn't a lot to add except Princeton MINI cleaned up the cold start problem and did an oil change (at my request) in a reasonable amount of time. And then took over an hour from the time I was told the work was done to get the car to me because someone lost the keys. Sigh...

I've dealt with service at DR's twice - first for the shift linkage recall and then when the AC/heater blower motor burnt out. No problems with service or "attitude".

Only negative was having to rent a car when I had to leave the MINI for the 2 days it took to get and install the blower motor.

Scheduled for my 10,000 service tomorrow morning.

[Note: when are they going to change the DR MINI website to show a correct ma to the service department? confused: ]

Thumbs up About DR's service

I thought I should let all you MINI-heads know that the new Don Rosen service advisor is now Ron Piper (610)667-1919. We have hired Ron to be our EXCLUSIVE MINI advisor. If you have any concerns please call either myself or Alex (Sales Manager) at the showroom (610)667-1000.
Happy Motoring!

Sounds like great news. Hope he starts to learn a lot about MINIs and has a positive attitude. I'd also encourage him to watch MINI2 to see how DR service is doing.

Great decision to have a MINI-specific service advisor!

Another Call...

Got another call from Otto's today to make sure I defititely bought a MINI elsewhere. Then they asked about service. Told them I use whomever is closer and DR is about 10 minutes drive for me.

So, it sounds like perhaps they are opening soon? I have a feeling that their wait list is pretty slim since they opened so late.

But so far as you know, they haven't opened their MINI operation yet?

Not sure - I haven't been by their location. No one has commented here that they are open for business yet.
