On Christmas Eve I spotted another crack in the windscreen (First 'screen had been replaced last May with the same fault). This will be the 4th trip back to Leicester (60 mile round trip from Grantham) in 8 months - Love the car but these niggly faults are rather wearing!!

Anyway I decided to write to the dealer (who by the way have always given me five star service, I just wish I didn't have to sample their great customer service so often!). I got a phone call a day later from their Sales Manager, who spent 20 minutes going through my problems. He then asked me to come up with an accessory that could be something in the way of compensation.

The only thing we didn't put on the car at the time of purchase that we really wanted was a CD Auto Changer (£235) and I thought ' if you don't ask - you don't get!'

Anyway I asked and the man from Sytners said 'Yes', after clearing it with BMW GB.

All I have to say is thank you to both Sytners and BMW (the windscreen and CD player is fitted on Friday) and hopefully that will be the last unexpected trip to Leicester before the first service.
