Question Local vs. ?

Hello. I've spoken to the 3 dealers in the Washington, DC area and they are all quoting 6-8 months to order a MCS.

So, with my '90 Integra getting older by the day :-), I decided to do some calling around.

Checkered Flag in VB is saying that I'll get a production number within days, and delivery in 6-8 WEEKS (not months).

- Does this make sense?
- Any issues to look out for in purchasing from a non-local dealer then depending on a local dealer (Sterling or Tate) for service?
- Any suggestions?

p.s. They are quoting MSRP, and haven't said anything (yet) about processing fees.

Are you actually in Takoma Park? So am I.

I bought from Tate, but today I would go with whoever had the car I wanted, and I certainly would shop around to see what dealers had in stock before placing an order. Look iin the For Sale forum and you will find a dealer or two with cars in stock, and there are others as well.

Hope this helps.

Make sure you get your car programmed before you pick it up. The programming is free from the selling dealer, but Tate could charge an hour's labor to do it for you.

Otherwise, I can't see any difference whether you should buy locally or not.

I bought from Checkered Flag, and they are very nice people to work with.
