Cooper S's available in Texas w/ no wait or markup!

Moritz MINI in Arlington (Dallas) Texas (817)436-5717 is taking orders for Coopers and Cooper S's at MSRP with no waiting list and no add-ons, fines, penalties, or punishments. To the best of my knowledge, this is currently the most western state offering such a "bargain". I know because I have personally called every dealer in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and Dallas -- not one of them is selling MCS's at MSRP without a 10-20 month wait.

Moritz is a genuine authorized MINI dealer in the final stages of acquiring their TX dealership license. I just found them today on miniusa.com and am expecting a production number tomorrow morning! I just made it into their first allocation, but they'll be putting in their next order in a few weeks for the rest of you.

HOORAY!

And the same should be true of the dealership in San Antonio when it opens in a few weeks.

Cars are marked up over $3000 by the wretched evil evil dealership in Houston, "now serving wretched evil evil since 2001."

(Ordinary evil also available at extraordinary prices, for an unlimited time.)

When I called around the dealers in Texas, only JR in Dallas said anything about selling over MSRP and that was if you were in a hurry and couldn't wait for your order. All others were selling at MSRP for the options on the car. However I think they all get you on the trade in!!

I just called every dealer in Texas last week. Did you specifically verify that they were taking immediate orders on Cooper S's at MSRP with no Lojack, no PermaPlate, no $1600 alloys, no $500 doc fees, no kick in the balls, spit in the eye, or other dealer "options"?

And, you cannot necessarily believe what they tell you, or what you think you are hearing.

My beef with Momentum in Houston is not that they mark up the cars (one person here has told me to quit complaining about markups, which has never been my complaint). Instead, it is that they negotiated a sale at MSRP without anything added against my will, and then later told me that over three thousand dollars in mandatory packages would be added, despite our agreement.

Momentum has screwed enough people this way that the Better Business Bureau has revoked their membership and given them an "unsatisfactory" rating.

So, be very clear about what you're asking for, and what you're getting. And, don't take their word for it; get it in writing. Or better still, just buy from a dealer with whom customers are satisfied, by checking here and with the BBB. There are a lot of good dealers, not too far away, and another about to open in San Antonio.
