Offline | First time around it was the local dealer, the Mini was new so there was not a lot of dealer choice. Ordered From Godfrey Hall Shrewsbury. Second time around I took a day off and ended up going around all the local dealers with the same spec car to order. Based my decision on sales staff performance, trade in price, finance package and cost of dealer fit accesories. When I got all the figures in writing went back around the dealers that impressed me the most with regards to customer service. I let them try to match the best figures offered - to my surprise one of them did. Placed the order there and then. Benham Wolves, great service so have stuck with them. |

Offline | Picked Sytner Chigwell mainly because the ease of the location and the various Mini Coopers that were on the forecourt. Must admit was looking at a VW Golf however the Mini Dealership is literally yards away and ended up going for the Mini. |

Offline | closest dealer was ROADSHOW Mini / Memphis Bought 03 mini S from John R oberts Mini Dallas 365 miles from home. Waited 9 months. First service lousy as they had been bought by Auto Nation. Second service at Roadshow Mini/ Memphis, super service. Ordered 05 MCS and waited only 9 weeks, plus they are only 325 miles away. Have to want a mini and put up with the inconvince of living in the black hole in the universe |

| Not a happy bunny. | here's my story: my dad came to see me for the first time in something like 9 months, and we always do random stuff, so I suggested we went out to test drive a couple of cars as I was probably looking to move up to something new or nearly new. so, we chose a load of companies close, SMART, Suzuki, Honda, Ford, Renault etc. the closest place for MINI at the time was Scotthall, so we went there to have a look, and my dad convinced me to get a MINI (this was before the R56 was configurable), so I sat in a nice Astro Black Cooper with all the trimmings and fell in love. I went back there the next weekend with my Mother and specced one up. the rest, they say, is history ! |

Offline | I went to my local dealer because its just 5 mins up the road and has also recently been rebuilt and looks fab. Its 2 stories high and has a lift and loads of space both up and downstairs to park both new and used MINIs and also has loads of space outside too. The dealer also has 2 flip coloured cooper s cabrios and 2 GPs. The dealers called Halliwell Jones-Chester [Thats if you want to look for it anyway] |

Offline | I chose a different dealer to my preferred one due to 1 reason only: Trade in value of existing car. As the price of a MINI doesn't fluctuate, this was the only thing that was a variable, and could grab my business (for the new car) from my preferred dealer. This doesn't mean I'll be taking my new car there for services/warranty etc as I had real poor service from them not so long ago in regards to identifying/replacing a steering pump (out of warranty). The wont quote for 'extras' either, after quoting Chris @ Woodmans. I've asked the dealer to de-mark the car when its delivered. |

Offline | I went to my nearest dealer, where my partner ordered a Mini, but due to exceptionally poor service she cancelled her order. I then went to my next nearest dealer where I bought my Dooper. My salesman is superb. Upon my recommendation, a friend of mine has just bought a Cherished Cooper S, from the same dealership. So due to poor sales staff, my local dealership lost 3 sales. Did I mention that I also got an extra £1300 for my trade in - how could the initial dealership be so far out? |

Offline | san francisco BMW At the time of purchase we didn't mind paying $2500 over MSRP. The sales Mgr. was excellent. But I guess giving anyone $34,000 they'll kiss more than just your a?&e! But once we had posession of our beauty, thats when it all fell apart. The service with this Co. leaves a lot to be desired. We ended up doing a Dealer assist trade our car was in the shop over 100 days. 4 clutches and only 18,000 mi. I'm sad though that Mini decided to discontinue Black ,and charge me $500 for some crap sparkle black to take it's place. Now I feel as if I'm driving a Budget rental, not my sexy jet Black Cabrio. SOO disatisfied with my new Mini, Pops |

Offline | I just ordered my new Cooper Clubman from Preston Hall Motors in Stockton-on-Tees. They are my nearest dealer (28 miles) and I had also been recommended to them by another MINI owner. But I very nearly didn't - I downloaded their location map from the internet as we had never been to Stockton before - and the map was wrong! We spent over half an hour searching for their showroom. There were Jaguar and Vauxhall showrooms nearby, we went in the Vauxhall one and looked at the new Astra (very nice), but they were busy and nobody spoke to us. So we left and decided to go home - then by sheer chance found the MINI showroom, nowhere near where the map showed. By then it was approaching closing time, but a very nice sales lady (Rebecca) showed us the Clubman - the showroom seemed to be full of Clubmans! - and although she was about to go home, and it was a Saturday evening, she took my wife and I for test drives. We liked a silver Cooper Clubman with black roof and Pepper pack (£16,800) and after a little haggling we got £4300 trade-in for our 2005 MG ZR. I was perfectly happy with this, because although the MG was mint with only 21,000 miles on the clock, it had been vandalised on the near side by some pond life who scratched it deeply with a key from end to end, every panel damaged. That was in October. I bought one of those Quixx scratch removal kits (rubbish, did not work) and so was resigned to a repair bill of several hundred pounds. Anyhow when Becky checked out the MG of course she saw the scratching and guessed it would cost about £800 to repair it. Their first offer was £3200 for the MG to allow for the repair. We came away and on the Monday Becky phoned us and we negotiated a new deal of £12500 plus the MG, equivalent to a trade-in price of £4300. Did I get a good deal I wonder? Anyhow I was satisfied, and ordered the car for March 1st delivery, to get the 08 registration plate. I must say that we were impressed by Becky, she was knowledgeable, answered all questions to our satisfaction, was pleasant and not pushy. She is a credit to Preston Hall Motors. We did not bother to shop around, apart from the distance to other dealers I doubted whether we could have saved more than the odd £100 or two elsewhere and I didn't want the trouble. So we are looking forward to being MINI owners again in March. The last one we had was a 1275GT with Clubman-type front end, back in the 1970s. By the way I noticed that Preston Hall is one of a group of MINI dealers known as the Cooper Group. Does anyone know if this is the same as, or connected with, John Cooper Garages? |

Offline | Picked up my 56reg Cooper R56 from Williams Mini in Liverpool this afternoon, it's 50miles from me whereas my nearest dealer (Halliwell Jones Llandudno) is 20 miles, at the end of the day it's down to the bottom line, my local dealer couldn't match the deal or the finance rate so I looked further afield |
