Thumbs up Global Imports MINI in Atlanta

Global Imports MINI is great. Laurie Coggins is the most wounderful and considerate sales person I have ever dealt with. The service deptartment is also great. All my visits have been very good. They are up front and honest about everything. They never give you the run-around. The technician there will even stop and speak with you one on one about your issues if you want him to. I give them a thumbs up.

Talking Ditto!

I want to second that motion, although I haven't yet dealt with the service department. Laurie was there when I stumbled in unannounced one Saturday and took a test drive. She was there for me when I was ready to place an order and put down a deposit. She returned every call quickly and gave a thorough and honest answer to every question, even when her answer was "I'm not sure, but I'll find out." She found the answer every single time. She explained some things to me more than once (when I called and asked her to remind me what she'd said). She seemed just as happy as I was when I picked up the car, even though the routine is old hat for her by now.

And she didn't even complain when my bulldog threw up on the showroom floor. Now that's a good salesperson.

I was typing my note at the same time cooper4us was typing this one. I'll wait to see the answer, but I still think Laurie is great.

Amy, who works far from Atlanta

Two thumbs up for Global MINI. In Atlanta we have two choices. After many visits to both I chose Global. Laurie was one of the reasons. Before I bought my Pepper White/Red MINI I wanted to see one in person. She had only sold 1 other one at the time and had me meet the owner to see the color combination. Not many people would go that extra mile. Service and parts is also great. Wish they had loaner cars. Go Laurie!

Well, it seems that based in your responses and inside knowledge about CD #33 (Not to mention that you seem to have close contact with MINI's techline help) that you are indeed an employee from Global Imports.

Please be more forthcoming about your posts in this thread.

I am from Munich Germany. I move to the States 4.5 years ago to semi-retire. I work for The BMW Group for 12 years. ZF Friedrichshafen for 5 years. I own 2 Cooper S. 1 CVT Cooper and a five speed. These are a few of my toys. I still keep in touch with friends arounfd the world with BMW and ZF. This is how I get my information. I started sharing some the information I know on the forum because I saw some of you being misled. I enjoy the comradery ofthe MINIs much more than the BMWs.

OK, sorry for the apparent misunderstanding. Appreciate the explanation.

What fees did you pay from Global MINI?

I have a MINI on order and I am getting concerned at all of the "fees" I am hearing about. $595 "Dealer Prep", $399 "Doc Fee".

These seem excessive for a company that only sells MSRP.
