Chandlers Hailsham lose interest after payment

Chandlers Hailsham were great selling me what (so far) seems to be a good car - not cheap but excellent condition for 4 years old.

I found the Mini Clubman Cooper S auto I was looking for at Chandlers Hailsham; there aren't many of this model and the red one at Chandlers looked good.

The salesman was extremely helpful, sent the link to a personal video walking round and inside the car on the same day. It looked good and also convinced my otherwise doubtful wife.
The car arrived with a driver (drove it the 300+ miles), who collected my Audi TT.

But since accepting the car, I've made 5 phone calls to the salesman to sort out two minor problems and none has been returned as promised.

Seems like now the deal is done I'm always at the back of the list. One unreturned call could be accidental, five couldn't.

Not good enough. Repeat business is worth having, but treatment like this makes me doubt the integrity of the dealer. I guess some people would say that the words dealer and integrity don't go together, but I always hope otherwise.

Thats the same with most things, like a house even, once youve exchanged contracts everything goes dead and quiet, you dont hear a thing, but up until the "youre committed to buy" point the sales team are onto you everyday.

Not quite as bad as I thought

It turns out the salesman had returned my fourth call, but only after long enough that my mobile was out of signal range. He didn't try the landline numbers I've given several times, but at least he called.

The most important thing is that the car seems to be good. Has to be a plus.

Helpful Chandlers salesman

When I couldn't get the Bluetooth to connect to my windows phone, a salesman called Wayne spent at least 20 minutes sitting in a car talking me through connection. It didn't work out, but 10 out of 10 for effort.

Unfortunately salesmen have odd days off throughout the week because of their weekend rotas. It can be difficult to contact exactly who you require.
BMW's and MINI's work well with iPhones and iPods, but annoyingly BMW doesn't seem to support windows or android operating systems very well. This could well be the cause for your unsuccessful pairing of your windows phone to the car's bluetooth.
