Question Service from a dealer other than were you ordered?

Hi there. It seems as though there is more than one person who's ordered from a dealer some distance away from their home in order to shorten the wait times.

So, my question is:

How has the service been on your MINI from the dealer local to you, given that you bought from someone else? Yes, I know that it all *should* be reimbursed from MINI/BMW, but I'm still concerned..

Thanks

The Mini dealer I bought my car from is only a mile from the house. I prefer to drive 20miles away. I Plan on getting my car serviced at this dealer than my selling dealer. I have already order parts from the dealer that is farther away and they seem to be able to get the parts faster, and care about the customer regardless of where I purchased the car.

The dealer that I purchased the car from is strictly a Mini dealer and the one 20 miles away is a BMW/Mini dealer. Go figure, you would of thought that the Mini dealer would of given better service over the BMW/Mini dealer.

I got my car from one dealer 3 hours from home and had it serviced at another which was also 3 hours away because the first did not have Saturday hours. No problems and no complaints. The only thing you lose is getting attention to mistakes made by the selling dealer. In my case they didn't program the key options the way I wanted. It would have been fixed if I went back to them for service but the other dealer said they would charge for programming.

Bought my Cooper via Internet some 500 miles away. Closest dealer is about 110 miles away but I elected to go to the next closest at 225 for some warranty issues.
They treated me GREAT. See my thread MINI of Concord Service in this Forum.
