Offline | where to buy with msrp and least wait close to CA Well I want to order a cooper S in yellow all 3 packages with black top and sgrey cloth. but I won't pay over MSRP and don't want to wait a year. anybody know good dealer that has low wait list that sells at MSRP in the west? East bay is good but with a year wait I was hoping 6 months. thanks for any info. I don't mind taking a trip to pick up a new car if it is at msrp and fairly quick. |

Offline | The two closest meeting your criteria would be MINI of Murray (Salt Lake City) and MINI of North Scottsdale (Phoenix). I believe the wait for an S in Scottsdale is 6-8 months, I don't know the time frame in SLC. If you go further East, like the Chicago-Milwaukee area where there are four dealers you can probably get one faster. |

Offline | sinkinpat: if the midwest US is in the running, Midwestern Auto Group in Ohio can get you an ordered Cooper S by middle July. you could either make it a long road trip, or pay about 1500 to have it shipped, covered, to you! Offline | Roadshow MIni in Memphis Tn sells at MSRP and get the car you want in 4 months. Cost of delivery is $1000 and they transport it in a fully incloased trailer. Heres another drag the tax is usually financed with the car. If you buy out of state you have to pay the tax in one lump sum to Red Davis. Plus you have to have it smoged. When I go to buy mine I will see if I can get the surcharge down to a thousand (the cost of shipping) If not I will buy from roadshow Tavis1 ![]() |

Offline | sinkinpat, I'm going thru the same dilemma. CANNOT handle a year wait for an S!!! I contacted Salt Lake City (5 to 6 months)& Roadshow in Memphis (2 months). The Hamptons dealer had an S similar to my spec on the lot. I did not ask about ordering a car thru them. We were leaning towards Salt Lake because of distance & vacation time but 6 months sounds like it may be too tough!! Troy Moss at Roadshow was EXTREMELY helpfull. May end up going thru him. Good Luck & keep posting your findings. Life is short! Why drive a boring car?! Indi blue/white Cooper;Sport & Premium packages. |

Offline | Whoa! Whoa! New York? Australia? Mars? There's all-you-can-eat MINI's in Texas. I got mine from Moritz in Dallas (*******s! Don't go there!) but most of the other Texas dealers take orders at MSRP with no wait. I had mine shipped to Tucson for $550 but that wasn't so great either. Along the way, the truck driver took my car out on the town to pick up hookers and, by the looks of the interior, ended up bringing a couple of mud-wrestlers back to his hotel. |

Offline | No wait in Texas!! Hmmmm......I'm working on a project in Dallas.....could work in a buisness trip there?! Seriously Vespa; what is the wait on a S ordered to customer spec? Who did you deal with at Moritz MINI? Anyone else have feedback on Texas dealers? Life is short! Why drive a boring car?! Indi blue/white Cooper;Sport & Premium packages. |

Offline | Check out Momentum MINI I ordered my car from Rob Jones at Moritz who was such a worthless dope that the sales manager Dean Drummond had to take over. When I complained about the hookers and stuff Dean stopped taking my calls and I had to track down the general manager Tom Hosworth. Anyway, Tom got things turned around and within a month I recieved a free license plate frame. Then again, maybe it wasn't free. One of my complaints was that they were unable to give me any kind of "reciept" for the car. I got an invoice and I paid some money, but the invoice isn't itemized and the numbers it does list are unexplainable. Mr. Drummond told me that my invoice was "probably pretty close" but if I really needed to know how much I paid, I'd have to hire a 3rd party accountant. And in case you're wondering, the car was priced at MSRP with no options/complications/etc. Not even floor mats. If they can't figure out *that* invoice... Anyway, don't get me started. The good news is that my MCS was on the boat 16 days after placing the order. Total time to the dealership was just under a month. |

Offline | Man Vespa that sucks!(no pun intended). All they gave you was a license plate frame. I would want to have that truck driver to come over and clean up his mess. Minirosa I would go with Roadshow. I met with Troy Moss in person very nice Individual. He let me and my wife play around in the Mini's in the show room as long as we wanted and answered my queations. Tavis1 ![]() |

Offline | I went with Moritz Mini as well and have had good luck with them so far. The wait was short. I ordered in mid-March and had a tracking number within days. The car was built by mid-April and arrived at Moritz Mini on Monday, 19 May. Now I'm negotiating transport to Sacramento and am hoping that the last leg of the journey goes well. I decided to go with TNT transport due to the complaints I've heard about dealership trucking subcontractors, but won't know if it makes a difference until the car is in my possession. Should be only about a week and a half more! The folks at Moritz have been friendly and willing to make an out-of-state purchase as easy as possible. I've been dealing with Richard Mills. I'll post an update once I've recieved the car and the paperwork is finalized. CooperCooper 2003 MCS EB/W - Premium, DSC, Fogs 1966 Austin Healey 3000 mkII - garage art |

Offline | Going to order my mini from SLC. they have a delivery date in Sept/Oct. with flights to SLC so cheap we are going to fly up pick up the car and motor home stopping by the grand canyon and Las Vegas. Very helpful up there answered all my email and returned my calls. Something Neillo in Sac didn't do. and all at MSRP and only a 4 month wait, not bad I susspect. Been looking at used mini too to see if buying new is a good idea. but for a mini S with 15K miles on it and all the options I wanted runs about 1000 off MSrp. I am better off ordering new. I have never bought a new car but I can't resist the mini. first I thought yellow w/ black top but am now leaning twards dark silver w/ black top. I like the red to but that was vetowed. the other half leans to the dark silver too. humm what to do. |

Offline | sinkinpat, Interesting post. I've been considering ordering an S from MINI of the Hamptons since they can get the car in 2 months & we will be in the area on vacation. But, having second thoughts just because of the driving distance or shipping the car in an open carrier ($900). Might go to SLC myself. Feel more comfortable with the idea of driving the car home myself. 4 months?!!!They told me 5-6 months for an S?! That was 3 weeks ago. Maybe their allocation changed? Life is short! | Somebody help me! | Try Mini Center of San Antonio TX (210)-732-7129. Richard (sales manager) and Faron (salesman) have treated me quite well. I have ordered an Indi Blue MCS, am paying MSRP, no other markups or purchases, and should get the car within 3 months of the order (in this case, ordered in April, expected to receive in July). Muprhy's take on Rallyes: Measurements will always be expressed in the least useable units. Velocity, for example, will be expressed in furlongs per fortnight. |
