Saw both good and not-so on the thread for Sterling.
(Must say I had mixed reception when I went looking to buy.)
And a few scattered bad comments on Towson (which I didn,t know existed).

Are there any other Mini dealerships around?
What about BWM dealers that do service on Mini's?

UPDATE
Had two good exp with Sterling MINI. Oil change (little overdue) handled promptly on walk-in

then today had appt for little thing, added two more when I arrived. Took most of the day but got a loaner. Lesson: show up at 0700 to get the good loaners!!!!
Competition is a good thing? Now three dealers in VA and two in MD all about 1.5 to 2.5 hours drive from me. (But from the sounds of things I won't be going anywhere near Checker!)

i can't believe you got a loaner. i was told no mini's got a loaner. are you bigger than the service tech? what kinda car did you get?

Our experience with Sterling has been great.

If you car is in for Warranty work - then yes - they will give you a loaner car if you need one.

I did get a loaner .... but they were packed and given out all the BMWs (no MINIs on loan). So it was really a rental that they pay for. Only funny/odd part was when the rental lady asked what car do I have, oh a MINI, "so a small car is O.K." hee hee

my cars going back in a week for some work and they offered to get a rental car delivered for me to pay for.... boo

Seems cheap. What are you getting done? I'd try showing up at 0700 before all the loaners are given out.
