Offline | Best Dealership in Texas? Hi, I am in Austin, Texas and want to get a MINI. I am going down to San Antonio to test drive and make sure this is the right car for me. If it is, what experiences have people had at the San Antonio dealer or any other dealer in Texas? Any pointers would be helpful. This is my first car and I am a little new to the process. I will probably want to buy just a Cooper (not the S) but I want to test drive before making a decision between the two. Also does anyone know if there is a MINI service center in Austin? Thanks. -Sabie |

| Somebody help me! | The San Antonio dealership (Mini Center) has been very good to me so far, several others here have had good experiences as well. Check this thread: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...=San+Ant onio Since there isn't a MINI dealer in Austin, there isn't a service center. Officially right now, only MINI dealers can provide warranty service. There is a plan (or so I've heard) that will have some BMW dealerships (at least 100 miles from a MINI dealership) that will be trained/equipped to handle MINIs. Muprhy's take on Rallyes: Measurements will always be expressed in the least useable units. Velocity, for example, will be expressed in furlongs per fortnight. |

| Gone Motoring! | My experience with Faron at San Antonio Center was excellent as well... Pay them a visit, and get a test drive in a MINI, you will be impressed! If you're not picky about the color combo and options, they got quite a few Coopers there for you to choose from off the lot... ![]() Terry Sayther in Austin services MINIs, I don't think they do warranty work for MINI USA, but for regular maintenance they can handle it... There is a tech session this Saturday at Terry's and we will be putting his MCS on the lift to go through the stuff underneath, u are very welcome to join us! Check here for info! --Andrew |
