Offline | Rasmussen Mini of Portland, OR I put my deposit down for an MCS at Rasmussen Mini of Portland, Oregon. They gave me a 8-10 month wait estimate (better than the 21 month wait from Mini of Seattle). Does anyone have experience with this dealership? Can I trust their estimate or is there too much that can go wrong to trust their estimate at this stage in the game? |

| N.O.T. Member | Well, looks like I will end up in the Nov or Dec production group. About 50 people ahead of me in the list and they get anywhere from 10 - 30 cars allocated a month (30 last time but they average 20) so if they get 30 in the Sept and Oct I'll be in Oct but if they get less I will be in Nov and if they get a lot less then it will be Dec ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I checked in and was told I'm 10 back on the wait list. They're waiting on the October allocation and will know what they're getting at the end of August. Let's hope it's more than 10! |

Offline | When we went in for our test drive, Mikkel was busy with other folks, so Amy did all the paperwork for the deposit and specs. Yesterday I received a letter and 2005 spec sheet from Mikkel. They are both great and they answer your emails and your questions. Just wish they had a shorter wait time ![]() [color=Red]2005 Chilli red/red Cooper S with aero kit and anthracite interior. |

Offline | I orginally placed my order with Northwest Mini in Tacoma. They jerked me around about my delivery date. I switched to Mini of Murray in Salt Lake City. Picked up my Indi blue cooper about three months after placing my order. Had a great trip flying from Alaska to Salt Lake in Februay and sking in Salt Lake for a few days then driving to Seattle and flying home. The cooper caught a ship to Anchorage, AK. I had all my break in miles accomplished before I got to Seattle. Mini of Murray treated me great and had a much shorter wait for both Coopers and MCS models. You might considering giving them a call if you don't mind driving from Salt Lake to Seattle. |

| Professional Flirt | I bought Tony from Rassmussen with a wait of 9 months and primarily delt with Mikkel. He's been wonderful (hooked me up with lots of goodies!) as is everyone else there. Since picking Tony up we're there about every week and a half for minor things or I'm getting things added or buying fun stuff (Oscar the puppy sits on my back window shelf now). I think I know all the MA's and service people there now (they know who I am and always ask how Tony's doing when I call) and they're all great! No complaints from me about Rassmussen. Plus Mikkel let me have 2 or 3 test drives and they were WILD. ![]() |

Offline | Does this dealer charge a markup over MSRP? I'm actually in Southern California but it's hard to find a dealer without a 1000$ extortion fee and a reasonable waiting list.... My wife and I would actually rather fly to Portland (or anything in the west really) and drive the car home than buy it locally and pay a markup. It's the principal of the thing. ![]() |

Offline | Rasmussen does NOT charge any additional fees. But the wait is long. Last I heard it was 10-12 months for an S. Got mine last year from Amy and have had nothing but great service since. Scott 2004 EB/W MCS |

Offline | Have they changed their policy recently? When I talked to them in June it was $175 over MSRP (you get a tank of gas and floor mats, woo hoo) and a $50 "documentation fee". So basically $225 over MSRP and a 9 - 11 month wait for an S at that point in time. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger and order from them, so I hope they've changed it. Offline | Last I heard back in August was that the was no additional mark-up. They may have you buy the floor mats and such now. But it is much better than most dealerships. 2004 EB/W MCS |
