Well in the interest of more free stuff I asked my dealer about the next gen model and they new nowt ! Not even 'Do you want to put your name/deposit down ?' - which I would have !
So time to shop around and see who does want my cash !
Still am dead pleased with deal I struck with current S - Merlin who came fully loaded and was offered a heap more for my old MINI in part-ex than 2 other local dealers.
Oh and I did bag a MINI rucksack for a fiver the other day .

my dealer is taking deposits for the new model - infact pushing me for mine to stay top of the list.

all they have heard is that it will be launched in November (thats the latest anyway) and hope to have demo cars then with customers cars from Early Dec/Jan.

That sounds OK for me !
I had a letter fro my dealer with good news so when I asked I was told I could have a new Cooper or S with a few quid off ! HELLO - I only bought a car 9 months ago ! and sadly if I were able to change annually you're a tad early !
Will go for a next-gen for sure, just gotta get the balance of dealer/freebies !

Well I tried haggling the price - no chance!

Picked the car up and it only had 1/4 of a tank so I mentioned it and they kindly took it to the petrol station. Blagged bonnet stripes on my car because I wanted them so they did it as a suprise.

They also gave me a cuddly mini to match my car which was cute. Not sure how that compares to some of you

My husband made up this excuse that I was allegic to flowers - which I am (-hayfever) and hence BMW mini gave me the red Mini plush cushion instead.

I recently bought a blue one for my friend - costed £20!

However, that was back in May 2004. I'm sure they come with all sorts of freebies, like free glove compartment, free leather seats, free air conditioning........

Actually, my friend (also mini owner - one of the first back in 2001) noticed the bling mini valve caps on my Gumbo, went back to BMW and demanded that her black plastic ones be replaced free of charge with new bling ones!!! Since then, they've been nicked several times!!!!

How did you manage to wangle that through? Was it bought from a Subaru or a BMW mini dealer?

I'm not sure what "free" stuff you guys are getting, but I just got my mini in Dec, the 15th and all I got was a key chain!! The tank of gas came with a $500.00 US package that is called a "dealer prep" oh yeah they "gave" me the floor mats too.

I love it when a plan comes togather!

Dealer freebies

Just wondering if anybody has managed to get any extras when trying to buy a cherished/used mini from a dealer.

bought my mcs 12 months ago - couldnt wait for a new one after driving the demo so bought that one fully specced out - couldnt get any move on the price - all i managed to get was the tlc as it was on the car anyway, 6 month road tax and a tank of gas - did manage to get the central armrest thrown in fitted. so all in all about 200 quid

May change Merlin sooner than expected after all my recent 'attention' so if I go MINI and not mini I will push for $£$£$£ off if I go cherished or try and do as well as Jordan 210 if I go new !
