| Godfrey Hall - Shrewsbury I have just ordered my Mini Cooper from Godfrey Hall BMW dealership in Shrewsbury. The service so far has been excellent. I messed around on the internet building my Cooper and Emailed to them, I recieved a full quotation in the post within 1 week, and an invitation for a test drive. During the following week I visited the dealership at least 3 times to look at features/colours/packages on 2nd hand mini's. The Staff were very obliging, answered all of my questions, and gave me plenty of coffee. Godfrey Hall also gave me a good exchange price for my 307Dturbo, £10,500, £500 more than any other dealership had offered. The final quotation for my Cooper was £17,278.62 OTR. I tried to barter on price, to start with they wouldn't budge. So I shopped around and found a slightly cheaper price (appox.£150) from an independent mini dealer. Godfrey Hall responsed by throwing some alloy locking bolts & a cool bag into the deal. I was happy with the deal and agreed to buy the car, recieved confirmation of the spec in the post the folllowing day, signed the forms, and my Cooper arrives on the 7th Oct. My only complaint is that the dealer wouldn't part with a Mini Accessory brochure (50page version) during my first visit. Apparently, they didn't have any. But upon my second visit, when they realised that I was a serious buyer, plenty of brochures became available. It would have been easier to build my Cooper if i'd had the 50 page brochure earlier, because 20page brochure was useless, with hardly any pictures. |

Offline | I got my Mini from there just over 11 months ago (silver Cooper). They were pretty good - much better than the Fiat and Alfa dealer down the road . The staff were friendly and helpful and they let me have two test drives in the space of about three days. I dealt with Paul initially and then Ashley. They also let me pop over on the day it arrived on the transporter to gaze at it lovingly and take a couple of photos of my pride and joy. Didn't get any freebies though... ![]() The only negative things I can think of are that they messed up writing me a cheque for the car I traded in and wrote it for the wrong amount (!) - a lack of communication between departments Second annoyance is that they insist on having me obtain a cover note when I take the car in (it's been in twice - once to get the PDC "active" beep turned on and recently for the rear bolt recall). First time they gave me a 318i estate (which cost me a bit with the insurance); next time I got a nice gold One with leather seats. All in all though, I think they're a good dealer. I would definely go there again. |
