I couldn't find much feedback on Stephen James so I've decided to create my own post.

My (new to me) 9 month old Cooper has been in for its first oil service this Monday and so far overall I have not been very impressed with SJ.

I opted for the pickup and delivery service and also asked them to sort out a couple of squeaks/rattles (v minor) the car had plus a misaligned bumper.

They did all the work fine and in fact cured the main rattle which was annoying me. They followed my request and didn't wash the car though they did hoover it inside. The collect/deliver service also was good and the guy even parked it in the same place he picked it up from.

However, they fixed one rattle but the car came back with another (much louder) one. They killed my front seatbelts, meaning that I can't actually drive the car anymore untill it gets fixed (still seeing when this will happen). The bumper is still misaglined.

The worst for me so far has been trying to get hold of my service rep (Tracy)! It REALLY sucks that I don't have her direct number (they don't give it out) and apparently she is always too busy to respond to my calls. I find this unacceptable and thus, overall, would suggest to avoid SJ.

My next step is to give my local dealer (Hexagon Highgate) a try.

I bought my car from Stephen James and was going to be using them for servicing. Maybe I'll give Hexagon a try...
