East Bay Mini Freebies

I will be picking up my new Mini from East Bay Mini in about two-three weeks. Can I expect any dealer freebies from EBM? What freebies, if any, have other dealers been giving to their customers?

Thanks Trico. In all of my dealings with them they seem to be very nice and professional.

How come I didn't get anything except two SMINT from them when picking up my MINI last year?

Did you ask for freebies yourself or did they just give it to you?

Thanks dinlo. I joined NorCalMINIs several weeks ago to take advantage of the 10% discount and all of the other perks. I even sent an email to Dennis Fung to see if he could get Gotmini to give NorCalMini members a discount on their accessories.

generally speaking the freebies you get wth your car depends on dealer stock and what MINIUSA is giving out at the time.

So what are the dealers giving out to those who are getting the 2004 Minis?

They just gave me the freebies. Eddie was wonderful. Went to do the financing paperwork and there they were in the front seat in a Mini logo goodie bag. It was fantastic. I had a 51 week wait from deposit to delivery. Maybe that explains something - maybe not.

free mats?

Has anyone been able to get any free floor mats out of East Bay Mini? I pick up my car in about 10 days and would love it if I can convince them to give me free mats.

I will also be picking up my car from them in about 10 days, assuming there were no mishaps on the voyage over on the Don Quijote. Why don't you give East Bay Mini a call in advance and ask them. My guess is that they will say that their gift to us all is selling the car at MSRP.

If you don't mind me asking, how long ago did you two put down your deposits at East Bay MINI? I gave my deposit to them in early September. I'm hoping to make the December build, but won't know until the end of the month. I realize that the waiting time just depends on how much they are allocated each month, but I'm curious to see how long others have waited. Thanks!

I think I put down my deposit some time in February or March and received a call that I was set for a July/August build. I decided to wait for a September build so my car would be a 2004.

wow, that is fast!

Are you guys ordering Coopers or Cooper S's? I put my deposit down Aug 1 of 2002 for a MCS. I could have ordered in late May to recieve it in Aug., but opted to wait for a 2004. So I will be getting my car soon now since it is now at the dock in So Cal. I guess that makes it a total of 15 months of waiting. I can't believe the waiting is almost over! I wonder why your waiting time is so much less.

I have asked them about floor mats in the past. They haven't seemed very willing to budge. That is why I was asking the question. I thought maybe I was just a pushover.

i ordered a Cooper, and was told 4-5 months. The wait time for the Cooper S was 12-15 months. I guess their estimates are fairly accurate.

Congrats to both of you! let us all know how the whole experience goes!

I put my deposit down on July 21, 2002 and delivery was 51 weeks later. I actually enjoyed the anticipation. Mini2 was my lurking hangout and I went bimonthly to Mini dealers to test drive MCS just to make sure it was the vehicle I truly wanted. I followed it from order through shipment to delivery. I was even crazed enough to contact the crew of the freighter that was bringing it over by locating them through a websearch. In fact, I used a NOAA site to watch the progress of the vessel all the way from the UK to Port Hueneme, CA. East Bay Mini made my purchasing experience the best I've ever had and, so far, their service has been exemplary.

I ordered a Cooper as well. The wait for a MCS is over a year.

Thumbs up

I just picked up my MINI Cooper yesterday from East Bay MINI. What a great car-buying experience. Matt was my main MA, but everyone there was just terrific over the past several months since placing my deposit.

I did get some goodies! The presentation was terrific - they had a MINI goodie bag sitting in the trunk, so when Matt was going over the car with me, he opened the trunk, and there it was! I got a MINI logo baseball hat, a MINI model (which matches my specs) a MINI mug (for the lame cup holders) and a full tank of gas.

I also got my Mini from East Bay Mini and a simiilar bag of goodies. I agree that everyone there is terrific. I had contact with both Matt and Eddie (my MA). The dealership goes out of its way to make sure it provides top service. I would highly recommend EBM to anyone living in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Hey guys, Im new to mini2 forums and had a quick question. I put my name on the long waiting list through East Bay Mini in November for a Cooper S. I was wondering if they are flexible in price at all, as in $25,000 out the door and so forth. Any experiences?
