Offline | Just wanted to give some kudos to Momentum Mini in Houston. In the past, they received criticism on this website for the way they conducted business. In my experience, the criticism was either major BS or it was true and Momentum took care of all the problems - My experience with Momentum Mini was nothing less than exceptional. My MA (Marianna) took my order over the phone (I live in Austin, over 180miles away), had the order placed with Mini the next day (I had a production number assigned to me in less than 24 hours), and my Mini was delivered only 6weeks after placing my order. I had originally wanted to purchase my Mini thru the dealer in SanAntonio since they are much closer, but that dealer couldn't even tell me when they would be able to place the order because all of their production slots for that month were full. They were telling me that most likely I wouldn't receive my Mini until late Jan/early Feb (I was placing my order at the end of September). In their defense, the only reason I didn't go with them was the long lead time - their dealership is exceptional as well. On a hunch, I called Momentum Mini, and Marianna told me I could place my order and have it no later than the end of Dec. So, I placed my order with her (note - she did not push anything on me at all - no extra warranties, protection packages or other dealer markup items. She told me about them, but did not do a hard sell on any of them). The next day I was provided with my production number, and from there on, everything went smooth as silk. On Nov 15, I picked up my new Pure Silver Cooper S - the car was prepped and waiting, the paperwork was ready awaiting my signature, and the entire buying process was the easiest car purchase that I've ever made. I would not hesitate to recommend Momentum Mini to anyone. If Momentum had any problems in the past, they were sure not evident during my buying experience! I can't really comment on their service department other than so say that it is co-located with their showroom (BTW, they have a test track behind the showroom, and they also have a restaurant attached to the showroom), and it looks very tidy (I hate shops that look like crap inside). My car was prepped and detailed very well, with a fresh coat of wax, tire dressing, all the window stickers and shipping materials removed (the window stickers were left for me in the glove box) and warmed up with a full tank of gas waiting for me to hit the highway.... All I can say is that if you're looking for a new Mini and don't want a long wait, don't hesitate to give Momentum a call! |
