Offline | Is My Dealer On The Level ? Just been in to my local Mini dealer to try to order some parts for my Cooper. Normally the guys in the parts department are pretty good but today got a jobs worth !! The parts I wanted are for a Cooper S, pedal rubbers and parts to convert fuel cap to MCS type. He informed me that he could not order these parts with out a chassis number from a MCS. Is he on the level or just being an @rse ??? ![]() |

Offline | I have heard of this before - basically some dealers don't want people making their ones/coopers look like cooper s's. Does sound very jobsworth - call another dealer and do the transaction over the phone. |

Offline | If they don't want your business someone else will!! Have seen the S petrol cap conversion available from other spares suppliers. Try Mini2 products toolbar above. Also in Go Mini mag. Nothing but after after and more s! |

Offline | My dealer was ordering a part for my car whilst I was there, and needed the chassis number to give to BMW - even though they had just serviced the car and knew it was a MCS! |

![]() M2 Bapmaster | I said that to my dealer and he said your best getting the owners permission first because MINI may ring them up to see if there weren't happy with the original parts blah blah....but they had already ordered MCS parts in for me before without needing a chassis number ![]() |
