Offline | We ordered July 23rd, our production number was for August 8th, and we picked him up in NY the 3rd of September. However the east coast is about 1 1/2 weeks closer to England due to shipping delays. So 8-10 weeks sounds reasonable. Long Beach has a delay because of the line of people in front of you. Out of state is the best option if you want MSRP and now. Sean Last edited by speacock : Feb 24th, 2004 at 03:38 PM. |

Offline | Ordering time I picked my MINI up in Baton Rouge 7 weeks after I placed my order, and then drove it home in 72 hours. If you want to save $$$ and time, go out of state for your MINI. | MINI2 Regular | Eight to ten weeks is the normal order to delivery time. Most out of state dealers do have open allocations and will sell at MSRP. The best advice is to get on the MINIUSA website, check out their dealers listing and then call them. Tell them what you want, and ask their delivery time. Obviously closer dealers such as Phoenix and Las Vegas are more desirable as you can fly out and drive home the same day. Check out the dealer listings on this and the NAM site. A lot of people have been in the same place as you before, so take advantage of their experience. Unfortunately the SoCal dealers are pigs. So f**k 'em. Buy out of state and service it here. 2004 Chilli Red MCS/ White. Cordoba Leather Interior. Sport, premium, cold package, driving lights, & stripes. ![]() visit us at USBLUESTATES.COM |

Offline | That's great news Jim, now I know where our next next MINI is coming from. Our dealer here has been great to deal with, we may just buy from them and drive back to Vegas. No affiliation, just my dealer. Check their inventory online, Google for Checkered Flag MINI. Fly back here Southwest, and it will be broken in by the time you drive it back to the west coast. Jimskater, they have one GP with no deposit placed.... Vegas in 2007! ![]() |

Offline | I went to Long Beach Mini, the sales person said that they don not over charge the MSRP. The only thing they charge extra is for few accessories like Ipod connection ($400) ouch! , the bonnet stripes etc. Brecht Mini in San Diego charges over MSRP but they would not say how much over the phone. I asked about the Costco deal, they said they will honor but I don't know if that discount will offset the overcharge. One question: If buy out of state , do I avoid CA sales tax? On a $30k car is good money. |

Offline | Mini of Murray - Salt Lake City I live in Nevada and they wanted an extra $1,000 atleast also. I ended up ordering mine through Mini of Murray in Salt Lake City and didn't have to pay anything extra. I ordered in Feb. and it got there May 1st. So I will pick it up the 13th. Can't wait. Not bad at all for timing. I didn't mind waiting if it saved me money. |

Offline | Hi all, I just want to let you know that I contact Costco and they said that the only MINI dealers that they offer their auto buying programs are the one in Utah and one in North Carolina. I am puzzled by Brecth saying that they belong to the program. Are they trying to fool me? ![]() |

| 'til death do us part | Go here: http://www.costcoauto.com/index.asp? Punch in your San Diego/Orange/Riverside County zip code & submit. Next page will let you select "MINI" as your make, pick your model & Costco will put you in touch with the dealer. |

| 'til death do us part | yobtoh, All the mod work I've done to my cars has been done with mail order parts. Mini Mania, Alta, HK, etc. Ordered from the various on-line vendors. Work done by "wrenchers" in the clubs I belong to . You'll find that's pretty much the case, I think. MINI - specific stuff is fairly rare in the stores here. Mini Mania is headquartered approx 5 - 6 hours drive north of San Diego. |
