Service Rates(Pricing)

What is the hourly service rates at your favorite Mini/BMW dealership? I think some of you will be pleasently/unpleasently surprised when your 36month/36k miles free service warranty expires...

What does it matter? Nothing is for free anymore so pay up. Did you expect service to be free until you did not want the car anymore? Hourly rates all are different and dealers can charge us whatever they choose........

While our previous 2 posters determined that nothing is free, I understand you're asking just how "unfree" are the rates. In regards to that question, rates I've seen posted on here and MCO(nam) have ranged from $85 to $135 an hour. It is dependent on the particular dealer involved. Something else to mention is that some dealers charge by the quarter hour, others by the half hour.
This could mean a big difference on small jobs. For example, my dealer charged $27 labor to activate my Euro wired driving lights. It took them 5 to 10 minutes and I was charged for a quarter hour. If they charged by the 1/2 hr., it would have cost me $55.
You'll need to check with your particular dealer to find out what and how they charge for their work.
Hope this helps.
