| MINI2 Regular | Plate brackets Yes, the Coopers come with the front brackets installed. The S's do not and we do not install them unless we have to. I'm waiting for the day that MINI will sell a cover for the area where the front bracket goes. Perhaps someone should write to them? Tony Right then. Good Show. Offline | Re: Posting on Roadfly Yeah, I think we're all pretty comfortable with the fact that there is more to this story than that poster let on. It says a lot about them that they choose to post and complain FIRST rather than phoning the dealership and trying to work it out privately. Don't need to beat a dead horse - I think our experiences have been great so far. But be prepared - the word is getting out and you guys will be held to a high standard for service! ![]() Of course, I'll just be happy to get my S! Jason PS - This week's AUTOWEEK magazine has a MINI foldout with the car circling one of those parking garage exit ramps. Glued in the middle is a MINI barf bag! Offline | Re: My MINI It'll be built the week ending 7/5. Could be anytime that week, so on or before that date should be pretty accurate. Does you status actually show scheduled for production in the OL or does it still say estimated production date? Offline | LoJack Photon, I got LoJack with my Cooper. I think you're right about the fact that not all police departments necessarily support it. That being said, I think most of the eastern and western seaboard are served. I'm sure Amos can fill you in if you have any questions. I got it because I have two good friends whose cars were stolen. In one case, one car was in a semi truck with several other stolen cars en route to Baltimore. The other was found on a dock in NYC getting ready to be loaded on a boat to be sold in the Carribean. In both cases, the cars were returned with broken drivers side locks but essentially otherwise unharmed. If nothing more than peace of mind, I think it's worth it. |

Offline | 6/28 est prod date - still on target. With everyone's dates slipping I keep checking mine. It's still sitting at 6/28 (estimated). If all goes as planned it should go into "scheduled" mode this weekend I guess. Maybe I'll even get a VIN!? Offline | Jason You get a VIN with the scheduled production, so they should both be coming soon (fingers crossed for you). As for mine, she was built last week and booked on a ship leaving yesterday, but I've been having trouble getting the Wallenius (shipping company) website to work since Friday, so I can't track it! I don't know if she's on her way or sitting on the docks in Southhampton. At least I have a buyer for my Golf that's flexible. Ugh, the waiting... |

| MINI2 Regular | Need a favor! Hey guys! Can you all do me a favor? Put your full name as your signature when you post. Or at least your First name and last initial. It will help me to keep track of everyone. I know who most of you are and where you are from, but there are a few of you who don't sign your name at all! Thanks! Offline | You couldn't possibly be referring to me could you Tony? Did I freak you out by knowing everything about you and your car when I talked to you yesterday? I guess I didn't make much of an impression at the party huh? Andrew Meehan _____ BRG Cooper - on the boat or on the docks, nobody knows... |

| MINI2 Regular | here is a good example I know that I talked to Andrew yesterday. I know when I read his post tonight that I talked to him yesterday. But when I read "Dash" for some reason I thought it was one of the chris'. So, "Let's make signatures". Let's fix my computer first. I am having all sorts of problems. Tony I know, I know. I'm going to make it now. Right then. Good Show. Carry On. 2002 Liquid Yellow MINI Cooper S with black roof |

| MINI2 Regular | nope MINI has not told us anything about colors yet. Other then Silk green is being replaced by gold. I'm off to reinstall windows into my computer. I got a bad virus. | MINI2 Master | Not exactly "feedback", but ... ... a Don Rosen-specific question. First oil change @ 10,000 miles or before?? What do the service department guys say?? | MINI2 Regular | Oil Chnage It doesn't hurt to change it sooner I guess, but MINI won't pay for it until the car says so. This Computer is ****ing me off. I re-installed Windows 98SE. I'm not going to spend more money on this computer by buying a new OS. I'm going to use this a little longer then by something new. This one is only a 600mhz Celeron, not worth fixing. $ is better spent on my "drivable toys" Tony Right then. Good Show. Carry On. 2002 Liquid Yellow MINI Cooper S with black roof |

| MINI2 Master | Computers are great when they work Fortunately I have a reasonably new/fast one at home - and a 1-month old faster one at the office. Back to oil changes - if I get a change at say 5,000 - I pay for it. MINI will still pay for the 10,000 mile service, I assume?? (picking up english repro front plate tomorrow - at Triple-C in York; registered for the Original British Car Day in Gaithersburg on Sunday - need to clean my black plastic trim before then.)
