Hey all! Met with Jerry Miller tonight. Got the job. I don't know when I'll start yet, but I might be in there part time as early as saturday. It depends on my current job. Thanks to all who cheered and prayed for me!
The best part of my day? As you can see it's 2:34 in the morning. I was out with the undisputed best looking girl from my high school. She just moved back to town. Going out again tomorrow night! Hmmm, how am I going to get to sleep early and still make it to MINI on sat????

Has any one here ordered their car yet. If so have you recived you V.I.N.number? If you have how long did it take? Im still waiting for mine and I submitted my order a month ago.

Alex was able to modify a pre-spec for me back on 3/27. Got a production # from him on 4/8. (although I emailed him to specifically ask him for it on the 8th)

Suggest you call/email them.

No order for me yet. I was #64 on the 'S' list. I'd guess that I'll be contacted late May or early June. I would guess once they see what the pre-spec cars are they will go down the list and then know who is taking what and who needs to order. Hoping to get mine late summer or early fall - meaning an order would preceed that by 1 - 2 months. I'd likely take a pre-spec car if it more or less met what I wanted though.

i ordered my MINI cooper in the beginning of the month (apr 2 or so.) they don't have a VIN for my car yet, but, i do have the production #, which they were able to give me about a week after i ordered the car. amos faxed me some type of order sheet about my car, looks like it came from a BMW ordering system they must use.

you should be able to log onto the Owners Lounge on MINIUSA with the production number and get VIN, Etc.

Congrats! Sounds like the delivery / birthday of your car went well!!

I have to marvel that MINI actually listened to us and built the whole owner's lounge application. Don't think any other car maker has done this. Certainly helps feed the obsession but gives us such great real-time data on the car.

Very cool! Pretty soon it'll be crossing the Atlantic!!

We'll have to live vicariously through you for a while. I'm a few spots behind Jason on the S list and am also expecting a call next month to spec out my car. I'm guessing that they've gotten takers for all the pre-specs at this point. Nobody called me to see if I wanted one anyway!
