This is probably just me being cynical, but just wanted to check if anyone else had similar experience or suspicions…

Just ordered our MCS. We had the choice of two local dealers; Dealer A was quoting October, whereas Dealer B still has one left for August, otherwise September. Although “A” was offering us a slightly better trade-in deal, we went for “B” so we’d not have to wait as long.

When we actually got down to business, the salesman told us that the one August slot had just been taken by one of their sister showrooms, so we agreed for September (we would have probably left it until 1st September anyway, for the new registration). However, two days later we had a message from the garage telling us that our MCS probably wouldn’t be ready until October.

Now I do understand that there are some production delays at the moment, but can’t help wondering if Dealer B could never actually have got us our car before Dealer A in the first place, and was just lying to get our custom.

Cynical, as I say, and hence I have not named the dealer, but does this sound familiar to anyone else?
