Offline | Just wanted to put out a positive post regarding Debbie Horton at Mini of Murray in Salt Lake City, Utah. She's been extremely helpful from day one and continues to contact me (sometimes on her day off) to keep me informed. I have placed a deposit and know that eventually I'll be getting my Cooper S spec'd just the way I want it. I may be able to get a factory spec'd car from my local dealer (Niello of Sacramento..BAD!) sooner, but have decided that the wait is worth the customer service and hassle free experience I receive from Mini of Murray. Since I'm ordering out of state I've never met Debbie nor been to Mini of Murray so I'm interested to hear from those of you who have. Any comments? |

| 2002 Owner | I have had only good experiences with Ms. Horton thus far (my Cooper is on a boat right now.) In fact, it has all been so simple and straightforward that I wonder where the catch is! Would definitely recommend any other out-of-staters to consider Murray. Plus the drive back through Utah has to be great. |

Offline | Mini2, I can't get the Murray website to work. Haven't called them since my deposit, so can you tell me if they will give you a list number?? I just assumed next Feb or Mar delivery, but maybe some will drop off the list.Cooper S Red/White/White, Air, Computer, Cloth, DSC, Cold Weather. August build. |

Offline | Olddad: I have a feeling you'll get your Cooper S sooner than you think. I spoke with Debbie a couple days ago and she told me that Mini of Murray had received about 21 Cooper S models for their May allotment, a lot more than they anticipated. If they continue to receive so many then the list gets smaller a lot sooner. Maybe they are getting more than some dealers (Niello) due to positive customer feedback to MINI USA. I hope that our comments regarding the terrible choice of Niello as a Mini dealership has slowed their allotment of cars. Either way, Debbie has been great and no matter what she looked like, I'd still be impressed! |

Offline | Now that sounds good. Tried calling today but Ms Horton wasn't in. Will try again tomorow. I suggested to the employee I talked to (hope it was her supervisor) that he log on to Mini2 and read the good feedback about Mini of Murray and Debbie in particular.Cooper S Red/White/White, Air, Computer, Cloth, DSC, Cold Weather. Offline | Didn't get a chance to call, she called me! On a Saturday! There are no sure things, but I may get to order a few months earlier than expected. She said it might be because of some dealerships not opening yet, and several people have gone with the Cooper, but things look good. She will be updating her list this week to adjust for the folks dropping off the list for whatever reason. Those of us on this list may have a nice surprise.Cooper S Red/White/White, Air, Computer, Cloth, DSC, Cold Weather. August build. |

Offline | Just another post to confirm the excellent job Debbie Horton is doing at Mini of Murray...She called me yesterday as well to let me know I could place my order! We went over my specs and I should have a poduction number within a couple weeks, with actual production in July, delivery in August-September. I forgot to ask her how many S models were allocated for her June delivery, but it must have been up there with her surprise allotment of 20+ in May. This tells us that while Niello Mini in Sacramento is overcharging for the few cars they receive (no customer spec'd cars allowed), reputable dealerships seem to be receiving larger allotments. Thanks again to Debbie and the entire Mini of Murray staff, as well as Mini USA for rewarding service and integrity over greed. ![]() |

Offline | Congrats! Pretty much the same thing happened for me at East Bay MINI. I got the call Friday to place my order for my Cooper for a June build and should get my car sometime in September a month to month and half ahead of schedule! |

Offline | Sejanus... Congrats back to you! I'm glad that East Bay MINI has met the expectations of it's customers (unlike Niello). I decided to delay my build by a couple months so I can get the Harmon Kardon sound system. I know it tacks on another month of two to wait but I've already waited this long, right? So now I'm expecting a October or early November delivery at MINI of Murray (thanks again Debbie!). Good thing I opted for the all-season tires, eh? ![]() |

Offline | Did I say September? I meant August. I may actually get to enjoy a little AC this summer. November in Utah huh? You might have an interesting drive back. You can give us all an early report on MINI handling on snowy mountain roads. ![]() |

Offline | Well it's been a while since I posted on this thread and I'm thrilled to say my day has finally come. I'll pick up my DS/DS Cooper S from Mini of Murray this Thursday! Debbie Horton (now Debbie Linge, congrats!) has been so great to deal with. From the start she told me what to expect and I have not been disappointed. I hope that anyone else in the Northern California region (or anywhere for that matter) will consider buying from Mini of Murray. Of course, if you really want to pay more than MSRP and get jerked around in the process, feel free to try Niello Mini in Sacramento! But if you want to save some money and have a hassle-free experience, then Debbie Horton at Mini of Murray is the person to call. Anyone else who has bought from Murray should consider recommending them in the Good Dealer-Bad Dealer section just added to MINI2... Happy Motoring, everyone! ![]() '03 "S" DS/DS. Offline | Yeah, rain and very likely snow along the Denver trek! Did you ever post any pics of your car, Olddad? Be sure and post some after the decal. Gotta go but I'll say hi to Debbie and Karen for you... '03 "S" DS/DS. NAV, Sport, Cold & Premium packages. Love it! |

Offline | I just ordered a mini from MINI of Murray and I am canceling my order at Concord mini. Save 2500.00 and order the HK stereo. My Concord order was a Nov. build and the Murray order is a Dec. build. Not a bad savings for a month longer wait. And I get to take that road trip that I already planned on doing. I placed my order with Virgil, he was very helpful. ds/wht - lapis blue/black - sport - prem - cold ...soon |

Offline | Lottatoys is roadtripping up through the Dalles to Portland and then I5 home, so should be there for your next Hare and Hound. He might stop in Yreka for pics and lunch. He'll probably be broke in before getting home. Cooper S Red/White/White, Air, Computer, Cloth, DSC, Cold Weather. August build. |
