Question St Louis Mini dealer

Has anyone out there been dealing with the Mini dealer in St Louis? Anyone pick up a car from them yet? If so, where were you on the list? Just curious about folk's experiences with this dealer. Thanks

I have been dealing with this dealership. I have been pleasantly pleased so far. Originally I was #1 on the list at PEAKE which has since decided to not become a dealership. I quickly got on the list in St.Louis on about March 5th. I was about #150 on the list but I wanted a Red/White Cooper CVT. I have actually be able to select all of my options, and the car has been built and was loaded onto the boat yesterday. Should be abel to get it in about 3 weeks. The communication has been great with the dealership. I have received several letters and phone calls keeping me informed.

I have heard rumours that other people have not been happy with the dealership but I have no complaints.

Mini 1380 two,

Thanks for the reply. I'm happy to hear you have had a good experience. I gave a deposit on an S in Feb 02 and was in the low 140's. Unlike you, I have had very little communication from the dealer except when I e-mail or stop by. Who was your salesperson?

Good luck with you Cooper

Mo

Originally I was dealing with Robert Pedsoria (name probably spelled wrong). Robert has apparently left last monday after having worked there for over 5 years. I have also been dealing with Parker Schaffer who has lined me up with the appropriate car. I think that I have had beeter luck since I did not want the S. I really shouldn't say that I did not want the S, because I do, it is just that I only need/want the Cooper since the only way I am really going to get this car is to get the automatic, therefore no S. I also already have a classic mini, right-hand drive, so that is my weekend car to really drive for fun, and speed.

In march when I placed my deposit, I was about #150 on the list, but about 56 on the Cooper list. It looks like you will have a long wait for your car. I may have gotten lucky with my car. I think that they were limited to what they could change on some of the pre-spec cars and possibly some of the things that they couldn't change were color and model and transmission. I had communication because there were cars that I could accept or reject. You are probably too far down on the list to have been given the choice. I would expect that when you are able to order exactly what you want, you will be given a call. I am figuring on being able to do some slight engine mods should I feel that the car needs more power.

Good luck.

Thanks for the great replies, Yes, it going to be a long wait for me and with the horror stories I keep reading about it makes one nervous. Thanks for putting my mind at ease (at least a little)
