But it's worth it!

I also got hit w/ a $550 dealer prep fee. Interesting to note the Aux jack is $135 installed, it costs $40.

I'm getting the Works kit, MOP charges $1000 for a total of $5,500. I've seen some folks only getting whacked with $500...

Aqualung,
I have not heard of anyone getting the Works for only $5000 installed - please tell us which dealer?

GBMINI got the Works this week - click to see how much work is involved! A full day for an expert that has done many already.

On topic - MINI Peabody did a great job.

I have heard that the "recommended" labour is 14 hours, and I have heard of people asked to pay over $6000 for the upgrade.

Nope, not $5k, $5.5k...so it's the $4,500 list for the Works + $1k for install. At MoP too. yeah, I saw the pics, awesome detail. I didn't realize it was so involved, e.g. draining/removing the radiator, etc. Pretty labor intensive.
