I've had ours the last two days - did't see you though.

The BRG MCS I saw on Fresh Pond Parkway this morning didn't wave back because the driver was too busy picking his nose

Hate to have to report this, as Peabody have been pretty good - certainly better than HC but they've made a mistake now and they have to take the rough with the smooth:

I was (obsessively) checking the OL yesterday and for the first time, the factory options showed up. I was a bit alarmed that my DS/B MCS was showing up with white stripes. I called the dealer to check and found out that yes, they ordered it with a white roof and white stripes.

I don't want DS/W and now it's too late to change anything. (I think they've forgotten the driving lights too, although they may be dealer installed...)
They say I've missed November production now, the best they'll be able to do is re-order it for Dec production.

Very annoyed. They also forgot a friends stripes, but by the time the car arrived, she'd started to doubt she wanted them anyway, so she didn't really care. Black roof vs white is pretty basic though..!

The OL screen could be better though. It lists body color and interior but not roof color. A bit odd considering there's 3 choices. I could have caught it sooner if it had shown up there. Of course, I could have caught it sooner if the salesman had sent me confirmation of what he really ordered a month ago.

I've been waiting since May for this and I finally thought it was getting close and was going to be here for Christmas.

That bites. No excuse from them is valid. I was so adamant about them faxing me the order sheet immediately, just in case. Fortunately all was in order. There's no way I could live with a white top MINI either.
Did MINIUSA confirm that it's too late?

I hope they make it up to you. I never got my Xenons...and the thing is, they never called to tell me to see if i wanted to reorder it for the next production. Unfortunately, they never really made it up to me, but the service was great when you see them in person.

MINIUSA, Brig and Martin have all confirmed that it's too late to change. What really annoys me is that Brig told me I had three days to make any changes when he placed the order, but he never confirmed what the order was he'd placed. Now I kick myself for not insisting on seeing something from the computer system, but I had (and still have) the paper order we filled out that clearly says Black roof and Black stripes.
Martin is supposed to be contacting me again tomorrow, but the chances he can find a car to my spec that another dealer is willing to swap with him is pretty low I guess...

Any suggestions as to how they should "make it up to me"..? What's reasonable compensation for a fundamental foul-up like this..? It's not as if they have to work hard (or at all really) to sell these cars....

The day my car arrived Ron from peabody gave me a call telling me my car was in. I asked him how it looked, his reply was, "Looks beautiful one of the first jet black S's we've recieved." My heart dropped, I ordered a Dark Silver!
luckly Ron based his comment on an old order form in which I wanted black(don't know why that was still about his desk), and not on actually seeing the car. So all was fine... bit of a scare.

Same here, I was told I had a couple days to make changes. Guess what? I did, I emailed, left messages and they never got back to me and my car came in with three options missing.

Ask him to throw some extras in!

I asked for chrome bumpers, xenon lights and leather steering wheel. No comps at all!

I was very dissatisfied, but when I picked up my car, they provided excellent customer service.

I got an email from Martin late yesterday afternoon hinting that he might not even be able to get me into December production..! Worse and worse..!

If they haven't placed the order into the factory yet, they've got no reason not to push someone else off the list and re-order mine. Heck, there's probably even someone waiting for a DS/W with my options who would love to move up the list. I don't see why there's a 'might' about it; either they've placed December's orders or they haven't.
I'll see what he says today - he's supposed to be calling at noon....

I dealed with Martin at first and then he handed me over to Keith. I then had to call both of them because Martin said Keith knows this, and then Keith said Martin knows this. I really wondered if they both knew the status of my car when I called!

Very very mad now...
Martin said he'd be in touch on Friday morning... he emailed me (at work) at 6:09pm...
He said he'd phone me on Saturday at noon - he didn't (unless he phoned work, but why would he do that when he's got my home number).

It looks like unless the 'area rep' can pull something out of the hat, I'm stuck with a January production date and Feburary delivery... All because they can't tell black from white.

Not a happy camper...
