Offline | order number Hello Kars, I believe what your salesperson is referring to by order number is in relation to the number of orders are ahead of you. For example, if your order number was 103 that means 102 customers are infront of your order. With each monthly allocation of cars we receive that number will go down. So if 20 cars are allocated next month your number will be reduced to 83. |

Offline | Re: order number Ron, Good to see some one from MINI of Peabody responding. Here comes my two cents: Wouldn't you agree though, that he should be bumped right back up to the front and his correct MINI be ordered immediately? It may not seem fair to the person who was "next in line", but it certainly is not fair for GadgetGav to take the hit for Peabody's mistake. Offline | Cape Cod, Thanks for asking Ron the tough questions on my behalf. The problem is that the December order *has* already gone in. Unless they could persuade MINI to let them add an aditional one to their allocation (which it seems they were not able to do) I become #1 order to be placed in January <sigh> My salesperson has now asked me not to use his name on the forums, so either he lurks here or the employee who does log in reports to everyone else. Funny, they never complained when I was recommending them to people by name... And I don't think I've said or posted anything that was out of line, but whatever....Anyway, my salesperson, called today with an alternative car available immediately; DS/B but with Lapis Blue leather and the magnesium door casings. I like the seats, but I think the blue carpet is a bit much and the magnesium door casings don't look right to me. Maybe in a lighter color car, but not in DS... So, I've cancelled my order. I've got all hyped up for a December delivery and if I go elsewhere, I can still get that. Shame, but that's how it is.Overall, I think MINIUSA needs to take a careful look at the sales. They've got nearly a year of data now. It's crazy that somewhere like Peabody have 12 month lists and yet other areas in the country, some not even that far away, have cars in stock or can place custom orders in the next month or two. Surely they could balance supply and demand a bit better than that. |

Offline | BBQ I am thinking about this. If there is no road salt I will show. I wouldn't mind a discount on a MINI coffee mug. How do they barbeque in Tennessee? Possum style? Ess |

Offline | Re: BBQ ROAD SALT!! I don't like it, but it's a fact of life here in New England.Met another MINI owner here on the Cape and he has already garaged his S for the winter. He's had it since June and only has about 1200 miles on it! Are you doing the same? I was out this morning testing the new BMP air filter in the 28 degree weather and the roads were all white with salt that was laid down last night. I don't want to wash the MINI because it'll freeze! Have to wait a couple of days. Whatever a "Tennesse BBQ" is I'll be eating it next Sat. ![]() Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

| heh...lame | Oh man. My car is SO GROSS! The salt is the worst and I will be cleaning it off tomorrow. I will probably take a pic of it before I wash it. It is really bad. The back of my car looks white. I will be there on the 7th for sure, if not for the accessories, for the BBQ! "Just keep heading into the wind. Don't let anything blow you over." Offline | Re: Re: BBQ I have 4k on mine. I have avoided the liquid condition but have driven on the salt dust. Nothing has stuck to the car. I will park it when it gets really bad. I am hoping for rain to wash the roads it's too early for winter.....I will try to make the bbq in the MINI. I have a few show and tell issues for the service manager and I love hanging around the "garage". ![]() Ess |

Offline | LordWinslow, Welcome to the boards If anyone is going to Peabody on the 7th please call ahead. It's RSVP as they are having it catered. Hmmm, "Tennessee bbq" and "catered" are close to an oxymoron Here's the catering crew: ![]() Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

Offline | Has anyone had the JCW conversion kit installed on their MINI by the service department in Peabody? If so, are you satisfied with the work they performed and are you confident that it won't be an issue with them in the future should you need to go in for service? Thanks Chilly |

Offline | I thought the works kit wasn't coming out until June 2003. Maybe we are talking about different items and I'm confused. I will tell you this: I trust Gary King and his techs 100%. Offline | Thanks to MINI of Peabody for an excellent day. Catered BBQ and full buffet, discounts on accessories, door prizes and a gift or two Nice touch having accessories set up in the service bays and having the two MCS up on lifts for us to go under and inspect the Borla and SuperSprint exhausts. Sign up sheet was available for those who are interested in hanging out and getting involved with the MINI drag car that may be built soon. Wed. and Sat. nights in the summer at New England drag way sounds like fun. Finally met some other MINI owners and owners to be. A great bunch of people. What a great dealership. I think many will agree that we have the best MINI dealership in North America. Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

Offline | Bad Ess, Good question. After a thorough search I came up empty handed and don't remember what was said to me while looking at them! Not sure about figures on hp and torque gains. I will tell you though, they sure sound sweet ![]() Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |
