Offline | Mini Of Fairfield/bmw Of Darien Mini Of Fairfield County-aka Bmw Of Darien Is Currently Restructuring Its Service Dept. We Now Have A Mini Only Service Team And Our Team Leader Is Competing In The Mini Repair Nationals. I See A Lot Of Posts Saying That My Dealer In Particular Is Bmw Loving And That We Do Not Like Mini Customers. This Disturbs Me As I Run The Mini Only Team And Would Be On The Unemployment Line W/o My Mini Customers. I Always Try To Do Everything Possible To Please My Customers, But Based On The Surveys I Get Back We Are Not Doing A Good Job. Understand That There Are Limits As To What We Can Do To Accomodate People, But Those Limits Are Increasing As Well As Our Customer Base!!! I Welcome Any Suggestions From All In This Forum As To How I Can Improve My Department And Our Service To You. Encouraging The Management Here To Get Me A Mini Demo Would Be Nice!!!lol Thanks For Your Time!! |

Offline | positive changes Although there seem to be several threads on MoFC's service dept at Darien - this is the most recent so : Recent experiences quite different than before. Called, left message and I was called back!!! Always a good sign if you get called back, right?Went in for 40k, service. Two nice guys working in there now - both very polite and friendly - even helpful, no less. While there waiting, I glanced up from my newspaper and what should my wondering eyes behold but GMINI sittin' there at one of the MA's desks! While there, I overheard another MINI owner discussing some issues that were being fixed on her MINI...so I brought those up to my MA to find that what I had considered annoying rattels and squeaks were "covered under warranty" while still under 50k and that they'd be 'happy' to take care of them for me. I feel a bit like Humphrey Bogart at the end of Casablanca - but this 'could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.' Here's hoping it's one that doesn't require my visiting the service department too often, though. ![]() First love: MC CVT Indi Blue/White '04 Past MINI: MC CVT PW/Black '06 Present MINI: MCa Clubman BRG/BLK '08 |

Offline | More good reviews to add: service advisors George Evancho and Peter Reed continue to do well by me. Called up about an issue of concern, got an appointment for the next day, test drove around with "Dr." Tom the head MINI service mechanic as he took his time and really paid attention, left car, drove off in a lovely HyperBlue MC CVT '06. When they couldn't get to my MINI that day, they were very appologetic and, of course, I had their Hyper Blue - so I was happy. Called the next day to find my concern was nothing serious and had been dealt with appropriately for a nominal fee. Over at the MINI sales center in Stamford, things continue to be top notch. Everyone is genuinely friendly from the moment you walk in. It's not that forced friendliness that one often meets in "car sales people" where you feel as though $$ are dancing in their eyes as they pump your hand.(By the way, if you haven't seen their version of "The Italian Job" mini poster - you really should. )...They take the time to talk to you and don't try to "sell" you at all - which is a huge plus in my opinion. Just decided to trade in my MC for an '06 and within 24 hours everything is hunky dory - a very fair trade, a great new MC CVT on order for June and all is right with the MINI world - thanks, again, to the extra care of Fabrizio Reda, my Motoring Advisor! ![]() First love: MC CVT Indi Blue/White '04 Past MINI: MC CVT PW/Black '06 Present MINI: MCa Clubman BRG/BLK '08 |

Offline | There are several older threads about MoFC, which has been located completely in Stamford, CT for the past year or so - right off exit 9 on 95, but this seems to be the most current. So here's my update for dealership buying experience: MotoringFile » Archive » Worldwide MINI Sales up 24% in the 1st Qtr I can add to this story by saying having bought my third (there is someone who has bought five at MoFC.) MINI at this wonderful dealership, that they apparently have just had their absolutely best sales month ever since they opened their doors in March 2002! While there, a potential customer came in to look at and test drive a Clubman because she was tired of filling up her Tahoe's gas tank. ![]() I've said it before, but I just have to go on record, again, to say that Fabrizio Reda is an excellent MA - unfailingly polite, considerate and helpful. And he gives great flowers, too. 8) Seriously, everyone at MoFC from the technicians to the service advisors to their great MAs (Fabrizio, Peter, Mark and Antonio!) and Susana, are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Some who've never experienced this kind of service might assume that it was all just the dealership "game face", but it is not - it's genuine. ![]() I'll add that, besides those lovely flowers (it was my birthday), I was given a full tank of ga$, and a full set of rubber mats, including the Clubman's boot mat as well. Gas may be the norm, but these days it sure costs quite a bit more than it used to. An added note - with advance planning this MINI dealership does supply MINI loaners. Always been treated very well at MoFC from the service technicians, to the administrative staff, to the service advisors - George and Peter, and everyone else there. They just keep getting better. Perhaps one MINI2's famed Moderators might change the title of this thread to MINI of Fairfield County in Stamford, CT. ![]() First love: MC CVT Indi Blue/White '04 Past MINI: MC CVT PW/Black '06 Present MINI: MCa Clubman BRG/BLK '08 |
