Rants about Dealers

If it nots bad enough that my car was reversed into, now the dealer is ing me off.

I get a quote for the work which says that it will take two days. I agree when the car is going in, a week in advance. Now its four days since he had, and he is saying that only piece that was obviously needing replacement ( the front lower trim) he hadn't got in stock, and that I will be able to pick it up tomorrow, if the part arrives.

So I am now working an extra day, ( I was going to drive to my parents ) and when I leave tomorrow so will every other Londoner for the Bank holiday.

GGGGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

If thats not bad enough, its in on Saturday at another dealer to have the front drivers window done again.

Strangely I don't feel much better. Right I'm off to down the main SQL server.

Yep, make a fuss. I rang up once to complain about slow/sloppy service. "Can I speak to the service manager please?" "What's it in connection with?" "There's some problems with my MINI [very informative]."

Proceeded to give the guy a blow-by-blow run down of all the broken promises and delays I'd suffered. To his credit, he apologised profusely and promised to get it all sorted out - putting his head on the block (his words) in the process. And - lo - everything got sorted out.

Don't take it lying down. Make a fuss. You have a right to expect and get decent service. Make sure you exercise this right.
