Offline | What kind of deal? Hey everyone, first post but many more to come. I haven't ordered my MINI yet, but I will be ordering in a few months. The wait time is supposedly 6-8 weeks so I'm gonna order such that I get it right after winter. Anyways, I was just wondering what kind of deal should I be getting on my MINI. There are three MINI dealers around me and they are all about the same distance so all are good to me. I know two places both cited 6-8 weeks for the delivery and they both did not charge a premium. I heard of a few people getting mats and one getting free destination, but I just want to make sure I get the best deal i can since i have time. Also I saw some people say they only paid MSRP and that's it... i'm guessing they still had to pay taxes and title, but if they didn't that would be killer. Hopefully everyone can help me get the best deal i can on my MINI. |

Offline | Deal Are you ordering a MC or MCS.. I would like to know what deals are in your area without additional mark-up and such a short order time. Here in CA it is unreal the mark-ups or MSRP with a year wait for MCS. Thanks for the help, I will have trouble waiting a year. |

Offline | Well I live in northern Suburbs of Chicago. Skokie to be exact. All two places I have checked have both said MSRP and 6-8 weeks delivery. As for only being able to get MSRP, i read some posts about ppl who were at least able to get free carpets. Moreover, considering the fact that there are three MINI dealers within an hour drive of me, i think there is room for some level of competition. As for what i want: MINI Cooper CVT Pepper white Premium package possibly leather but i asked the guy and he said the wait is the same for the MCS |

Offline | I think a lot of people in California would love to get MSRP and 6 to 8 weeks on a MINI. I was able to talk my dealer out of a set of rubber mats due to some grief I had on an order mess up, but it was not easy and he was not happy to do it. Good luck. .........but I could be wrong. |

Offline | TLC is the UK equivalent of the 3 years service warrenty that is automatic in the US. On prices - yes everybody had ot pay taxes, title, etc on top of MSRP. It is just that many of us were able to not pay a mark-up above MSRP (I went 4 states away). Being east of the Rockies you are relatively lucky - more dealers, less wait, and no mark-up. You might be able to negociate down the title processing fee if you pit dealers off each other - but that is about it. |

Offline | thanks for the info... i must say though that waiting till after winter to order is killing me in terms of patience and time.... won't get the car till mid march....and spending hours a day reading up on the mini is taking out a lot of time. |

Offline | Looks like I got lucky Looks like I got really lucky! I just ordered a new Cooper "S" coupe W/Auto, exactly to my specs with the new "January" options and it is scheduled for 01/05 production. I can already see the order in the "Owners Lounge" under my name on the MiniUSA website so I know that it's all on the "Up and Up". I called Roadshow on Wednesday and by Thursday we had a deal at MSRP built to my specs. They had a January slot available and I am being told that I will most likely see the car sometime in early February. This was a lot better than what I was being told here in S. CA, the MSRP dealers were telling me that I might not get one until the "06" model year. So far I highly recommend Warren and the team in Memphis...............updates to follow! ![]() |
