Offline | Dealership recommendation Hello, Just thought I'd let everyone know how good my MINI dealer has been, here in the UK. His name was John, and he works at Murketts Mini in Huntingdon. After clambering all over the Mini in the showroom, he greeted me with a smile and a handshake, and took me on a wonderful test drive, which was nearly an hour long. We then talked through the extras, and he showed me all the new Minis awaiting collection, so that I could get a grasp on the Chili and Pepper packs. It was a pleasure (!!) to finally sign on the dotted line. In fact, it was all a little bit too easy! ![]() Believe me, I know not all dealers are the same, I went for a test drive with Sytner in Nottingham - the dealer only let me drive round for 5 minutes, and spoke on his mobile for most of it. He then proceeded with the old hard sell. Perhaps these guys really should be named and shamed? Anyway - I would heartily recommend my guy so far - he's been nothing but helpful, and made the entire process fun. Which is exactly what it should be. Matt Super Cooper: Black with white roof and wing mirrors: air con, ASC+T, autochanger, 16" run-flats, 5-spoke alloys and the trusty Chili pack. |

Offline | Great Dealer in US So far I have had a really positive experience with Crown Mini of Richmond (Virginia, US.) As a first time car buyer I have posed some pretty moronic questions and found that the dealership was both patient in my rambling and helpful in their response. I have not yet recieved my beautiful Red/White MINI so I'll be updating if things turn sour...thus far I would recommend 'em. |

Offline | Regarding Sytners in Nottingham - maybe it depends on the salesperson and the day you pop in? I went for a 1/2 hour drive and at no point did the salesman try the hard sell.... (he probably knew he didn't have to try though )Mind you - since I signed on the dotted line I've had no contact with the dealers - I'm just hoping they're as nice to me when I go in with the changes to my original spec! |

Offline | I purchased my MC from the above way back in Jan and took delivery 8th April. I am currently a Sales Manager for a large british car group and have been in the Industry for close on 14 years so was obviously looking forward to analyising how other dealerships work!!!! The salesman at Sytner (Matthew) was an absoulute pleasure to deal with. As you would expect from a BMW dealer his appearance was smart, his attitude to my partner and I was first class. We were even given a test drive without having to make an appointment, which although it was quiet, is unusual for a prestige dealership. Both of us got to drive the vehicle without any sales 'waffle' along the way!! The deal was done without any presure whatsoever, in fact it was due to his politeness and proffesionalism that we ordered the car from them rather than within my group (which would have saved me £200!!!) Whilst waiting to take delivery we changed a few options on the order inc, colour, roof, wheels and stripes without any problems or objections. On delivery the car was waiting, on time!!, in the 'handover' area, clean, tank full of fuel and a big bunch of flowers for the 'mrs', again Matthew was at his best. There is no doubt in my mind that from now on Sytner Nottingham will get my future business...lets hope the service department is as good!!!!! " New Mini...It's an evolution, not a revolution!!" |
