Offline | Qualified opinion about Colorado mini dealer. Just wanted to share my opinion about Ralph Schomp Mini here in Denver, CO. I feel it is a qualified opinion because I have been involved in three different car transactions (Honda/Mini) with Ralph Schomp and referred close relatives for a fourth transaction. Each of these transactions has been an absolute pleasure! I have dealt with all types of dealers and no one in the Colorado area comes close to the service and support that Ralph Schomp offers. No high pressure crap from the sales associates (a very welcome change). In fact, when I referred my relatives I had them go down to the lot without mentioning my name (truly wanted to test the consistency without bias from my previous business) and they came back with a phenomenal buying experience. The reason I share this opinion is because it surprised me that a couple of threads mentioned issues with the dealership. After doing a search it seemed to be only one or two people that felt this way. I do not negate any of these opinions shared previously but feel strongly that the consistent positive results I have had carry some weight. Anyway, just my thoughts. Carry on. ![]() Chili Red S Borla exhaust Madness Intake 16x7 Rota Circuit 8 Falken Azenis |

| MINI2 Senior | Glad your experience was a positive one. My experiences thus far have not been as positive. That is part of the reason I will be buying at Westchester MINI in New York. I only wish I could have had the same sales experience here in Denver. Obviously, traveling 1800 miles to pick up my MINI was not my first choice. That said, I plan on approaching the service department at Schomp with an open mind when the time comes. |

Offline | Since I started one of those threads back if February, let me respond with my unqualified opinion. I called the Schomp dealership in June 2001 and asked to have my name added to their interest list. Eight months later I sent my first e-mail asking when the dealership was going to open and when I could send in my deposit. For that I was berated by Ray V. by return e-mail, for bothering him and he requested that I not call or send any more e-mails. Ray then sent out a half-hearted apology in a mass-mailing e-mail with news from the dealership. I posted his e-mail on this forum out of frustration in not getting my question answered. Ray V. then posted a more complete and sincere apology to me on this forum. For me, that resolved my dissatifaction with the dealership for my treatment. As of right now, I am neutral on the dealership and am waiting for them to contact me to order, when my number comes up on the waiting list. At this point they still have the opportunity to win my recommendation, depending on how they handle my order. They told me that I can purchase at MSRP with no dealer addons, but that is not stated on my deposit receipt. If they change their policy and won't honor the conditions I place my deposit under, then I will not buy a MINI and would not recommend them to my friends and associates for any make of cars they sell. ficcion, what were your purchase terms? any mandatory accessories? I would like to know more about this "Honda/Mini" that you bought from them. |

| MINI2 Regular | All: I just started my shopping experience with Ralph Schomp, and so far, my experience has been a good one. I walked into the showroom, was quickly helped, and was test driving in 10 mins. My partner and I were given 30-45mins to "kick the tires," with no hassel and no saleman driving with us. The advisor helping us was very low-pressure and helped us search every combo of interior on the lots, to give us the best visuals of our options. Once I ordered, he has been in contact both by phone and e-mail when I've hit a milestone in the ordering processes. I'm two weeks into my relationship with RSMini, but so far, it's been a good one for me. cheers, albert (COS) |

Offline | I worked with Neil and the manager named Phil. The First time we went down to Schomp it was great and we took the clubman for a drive. I was hooked and even liked the sales people. 2 days later we went back with our trade and thats when it all went down hill. I sat in the chair at Neil's desk for about an hour because he had a customer picking a car up. This customer was not even at the dealership and never showed up in that first hour. I did have a few nice sales people see us sitting and asked if we needed help. I just wish Neil would have passed me off to them if he was busy. When he did sit down to help us he had to get Phil to take my trade for a test drive. Neil was gone again and Phil came back to tell us what it was worth. Another 30-45min sitting at the desk Neil came back. They only had blue clubmans in we wanted PW or BRG when he found that out things went down hill even more. Now the other customer picking up his car was back so again I sit. He came back and told me he couldn't help find a car because it was Sat and would try to get me an answer by Tue and walked away. After a few more minutes we got up and waked out the door thinking that was the end of his help. On Monday I called to talk with Phil and told him DO NOT have Neil call me back I was done with him ten minutes later who's on the phone but Neil trying to help me out. So I give him one more chance and he sends ma 2 cars by email that are coopers not clubmans. He did send me one clubman he found after that but it was auto and not what we wanted. Now even more ****ed I called back and talked with a new MA named Lance. He was going to try and work out what cars he could find and/or how long it would take for me to order one. To this day I have never had a call back or email with any of them. I had to be back in NY around the first week of May so gave the local dealer a call who was great. In less than 10 minutes we had a car picked out and on order! It's not often that I write reviews or call in reviews on people but this dealership just pushed me to the brink! I hope the service is better as I have to use them. |
