modification friendly dealership

Could someone please PM me if they know of a modification friendly dealership in my area. I live in South Yorkshire, England so any dealership within about 40miles of South Yorkshire would be fine. Please do not post names of dealerships on this thread because it is best that BMW dont find out which dealerships are mod freindly.

You mean for not having to take stuff off for going in for a service?

Going by the equation mini + moddification = invalid warrenty

Thats why all my 'mods' are BMW stuff, then there is no messing around swapping stuff over. Although whats ben going to do when they realise he's fitted a twin x-orst system?

That's not true (mods = lose warranty). It's more complex than that, although a lot of dealers will scare you otherwise. I mean, tell you otherwise.

It wouldn't invalidate your warranty on let's say, your drivers seat, but any engine problem that could be attributed to the induction kit would mean you'd pay for the repair. That's more or less how it works.

basically, you are ok with warranty and TLC as long as the mod does not cause the failure of another part, so if you upgrade your brakes and they fail, you are not covered, but an induction kit will still let them change the oil at a service, they just wont change your air filter. Many MINI dealers will actually fit aftermarket parts for you, if you are worried check first.

Dealers are first and foremost a profit making enterprise, so they want to service and maintain all the cars thay can. You just need to exercise restraint and caution until you have checked out the options.
