Offline | After being on their list for a year now, and being promised a car at MSRP for a year, I went in to put down my deposit only to find out that they're going for $1000 over MSRP. I was told that they WERE being sold for $3000 over MSRP and that I was "getting a deal." Right. So I am now forced to go to Cincinnati and go to the end of their list. (They're charging MSRP and not over, no dealer extras). I'm SO very upset after waiting all this time. I was told that MAG's policy was to charge MSRP for cars and not a penny over. My boyfriend was told the same thing when he got his TT. (When this policy changed, I don't know). I'm tired of being jerked around and will not do it. I don't have $1000 to throw down the toilet, which is where my opinion of MAG is right now. minimott |

| Jedi Master | Dude, drive down south about 2 hours, and visit the Mini dealership of Cincy (I-71, exit 10). Tell Gibson that George "Yoda" says HI, and she'll give you a deal of MSRP Or else she'll have to answer to me ![]() IB/IB Cooper, Black Leather, every option except CVT, (plus bonnet stripes, rally lights, aero rear spoiler and floor mats). |

Offline | MAG sucks miniyoda, Thanks. I've called them a couple of times and they've been nothing but nicey-nice. I'll probably call them today and see if I can give them my deposit over the phone since I can't get down there until this weekend. My only thing is this: what if the MSRP goes up by the time I'd get my car? Whatever, at least all the money going to the dealer is going towards the car's MSRP and not into the dealer's pocket for something extra. minimott |

Offline | MAG Mini miniyoda, I've been waiting for a Cooper S. (Pure silver/black, Lapis/gray interior with Premium and Cold Weather packs). I just called down to Cinci and talked to Katie. She said they'd happily take my credit card over the phone too, but when I asked for documentation of MSRP to be faxed to me, she said the salesperson was out to lunch and would call me back. That was three hours ago. I politely told them that I just wanted to cover myself, I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I'm quickly losing faith in everyone at this point. Did they show you any documentation? When are you getting your Cooper? I get the sense that if I walked into MAG right now I'd get a Cooper tomorrow. minimott |

Offline | No Problem Cincinnati MINI is very friendly and helpful and sells at MSRP with no hidden charges at the end. The only problem is that they are awfully busy at times and are tough to get on the phone. |

| Jedi Master | Re: MAG Mini sorry I didn't notice your post earlier. Did you get everything straightened out with Katie? If not, call back and ask for Gibson, and perhaps she can help you out. My Cooper is due in sometime around July 4th (no fireworks included on the deal). I don't know if they have any in stock right now, but when I was there last, about 3 weeks ago, they didn't have any which didn't have a "sold" sign. I do know that there is no waiting list for the Cooper, and the list for the S isn't very long. Hope this helps miniyoda IB/IB Cooper, Black Leather, every option except CVT, (plus bonnet stripes, rally lights, aero rear spoiler and floor mats). |

Offline | Waiting list for Cooper S isn't very long? I believe the current waiting list for a Cooper S at Cincinnati MINI is for about January-February delivery.. IMHO that is a rather long wait. |

Offline | Re: MAG MINI Gentlemen, I WAS able to get everything worked out with Chad from MAG MINI. However, I have referred some people to Cincinnati simply because they were very nice to me and I believe they would be easy to work with for the people who are just now getting into Mini mania. I'll post pictures of my new S as soon as I get them developed. I can't tell you how much I appreciate everyone's help on this forum! If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't have a car. minimott Dark Silver/White S, Premium package, Lapis blue/gray leather, 16" wheels |

Offline | Must agree that getting Mini from Cinci is much better than MAG. I was never convinced that MAG had me on a list, so I drove to Cinci and ordered. I should have by Thanksgiving, so I am spending my time burning a CD of all British tunes for the drive home. |

Offline | As of today, 7/13/02, Cinci is quoting a March/April 2003 delivery of an MINI Cooper S model. A call to Mentor last week promised a September/October. Columbus was a 2002 delivery. ![]() Cooper S EB/W/Mag ----------------- |

| Jedi Master | I'm starting to have second thoughts on my opinion of Cincy mini. They have been giving me the run-around on the status of my vehicle. I was told that it was held at the VPC to repair a scratch, but they can't seem to find the time to give me an exact answer of if the car has been repaired, and if it is to be shipped. perhaps I'm just a little peev'ed right now, but be cautious with any dealer if your car is ordered, and they don't want to give you complete details of what is going on with the car if delivery is delayed. Yoda........not happy. IB/IB Cooper, Black Leather, every option except CVT, (plus bonnet stripes, rally lights, aero rear spoiler and floor mats). |

Offline | I did not get a lot of useful information about of Cincy MINI about when my MCS would be delivered. I received much more timely information by calling BMW directly. Cincy MINI had actually called me one afternoon to ask about a couple of dealer installed options I had considered and when I asked them when it would arrive they said they did not know. As it turns out, it was sitting on the truck in their parking lot as we spoke. I was slightly annoyed by the fact that my car's odometer when from 2 miles to 10 miles between the time it arrived and I picked it up. I did not receive an explanation for that. |

| Jedi Master | Curious. how do you know that the odometer had 2 miles on it when the car arrived? Sounds like it was used as a test car once, but that's hard to believe. Also, by chance do you know if the car was on the carrier with other minis, or did it arrive with some beemer's? Offline | The odomoter statement listed 2 miles as the mileage when it was sold to me (ie. what it arrived at Cincinnati MINI at). The cashier also said, that 2 miles was the lowest that she had seen on a new MINI. It was late in the day, I had cooled my heels for awhile waiting to settle up and I was anxious to motor, so I didn't make an issue of the difference. I think there were other MINIs on the truck along with BMWs. They couldn't get mine prepped faster since there were four other ones in the queue ahead of me. The prep work was a bit sloppy, someone with a gasoline soaked hand had grabbed the shift knob. There is still an odor of gasoline in the leather. There was some type of sticker at the top of the door frames that wasn't completely removed. Someone with a dirty, greasy hand had grabbed the driver's side windshield pillar leaving a smudge. I expected a higher degree of professionalism from a BMW dealer. |

| Jedi Master | Ed. E. I could care less if it was a BMW dealer, an Izuzu dealer, or a used car dealer. When dealing with a customer's multi-thousand dollar purchase, more professionalizm is to be expected. I hope you were able to get the smell out. The owner's lounge at miniusa now shows that delivery is expected July 15th, which is......tomorrow! We'll see. When (if) it does come in, I will report what my odometer and paper work say, but I'm rather surprised that from factory to dealer they would only put 2 miles. I would expect more than that on just normal delivery. Yoda.....cautiously optimistic IB/IB Cooper, Black Leather, every option except CVT, (plus bonnet stripes, rally lights, aero rear spoiler and floor mats). |

Offline | Yes, I expect professional service from anyone I deal with. A better choice of terms might have been premium. I have never paid MSRP for a car before. For a premium price, I expect to receive a superior product (which the MINI is) and superior service. Not worse service than I have gotten at other dealers in the past. Yes, I was also rather surprised that the odometer was supposed to be only 2 miles, considering that MINIs do go through several transportation steps while being imported. I would have been quite happy if it had been a higher number, the only thing odd is the discrepancy between the listed and actual. After almost 4 weeks and 2400 miles, my hand still has a faint gasoline aroma after driving the car.. though it is fading. It's just a frequent reminder of something that annoyed me. |

| Jedi Master | well, good news on to me! My car came in today! Finally! Now, to figure out what options to have programmed. due to a crappy work schedule, I can't pick it up until Saturday, but if I've waited this long, I can wait another day or two. Yoda........happy at last IB/IB Cooper, Black Leather, every option except CVT, (plus bonnet stripes, rally lights, aero rear spoiler and floor mats). |
