Offline | Hassel MINI Just got my production number today for a July build on a Cooper S only two months after I put down a deposit at Hassel MINI on Long Island. Not too bad considering all of the horror stories I've seen here about wait lists. So far my experience with Hassel has been pretty good. I called them two months ago to arrange a test drive in a Cooper S and they had one available. They aren't located in the best place for a test drive so I couldn't really put it through its paces but I was satisfied. I spec'ed the car myself and some of the options I wanted were delayed (Indi Blue, HK stereo). The salesman, sales manager and I agreed that when my turn came up for a production slot they would call me and I would decide then whether to wait for those options or do without. The sales manager made a point of saying they would sell at MSRP and put it in writing on the sales sheet. I put my deposit down that night and settled in for the wait for a production slot. I get the impression that because of the known delays on some of the options I chose that they weren't going to call me even when a slot opened up and were just going to wait until all the options were available (they sort of hinted around by asking how long I was willing to wait for the options). Knowing this I stopped by each month around the time new production slots were allocated to check on my status. Last week I was told I could order the car if I was willing to change the color and forget the HK stereo. I wasn't married to those options so with the car ordered I now have 2-3 months to get overly excited about delivery. They said that I probably could have even had a June production but the Xenon debacle prevented that (I wasn't willing to forgo the Xenons). |

Offline | I have had a very good overall experience with Hassel MINI so far. My salesperson AnaLisa has been great so far and she is buying a MINI as well. I always like it when people believe in the product they sell ![]() Looking forward to closing the deal next month when my Indi/White Zipper arrives ... |
