New Country MINI, Hartford, Connecticut

Figured I would add my dealer to the feedback forum.

Picked up my car 31st of May at New Country MINI in Hartford. My experience was perfect!
They opened the store on March 22nd, respected my spot on the waiting list.
Ellen, my motoring advisor and Jerry, sales manager did a great job ordering my car and following up.

Paid MSRP with no add-ons (unless I wanted them).
Dealer offers free loaner cars when in for service which appears to be a rarity from what I have read in mini2.
They only want to sell cars to people who live in the area.
Have not tried the service yet so no comment there.

So far, very pleased and would recommend them.

'02 Cooper, BRG/white, Premium pkg., Sport pkg., chrome bumpers.

Good color combination - although I didn't get the sunroof.

The views/statements expressed above are mine and mine alone. They in no way should be taken as anything official... blah, blah, blah.

Thumbs up New Country MINI - Hartford, CT

My wife and I picked up our '04 MCS from New Country on October 18th. I must say that we are extremely pleased with our experience there. There were no "market adjustments"; everything was priced at MSRP.

Our MA, Bob Craig, worked with us for quite a while before we ordered our MCS. He was polite, very informative and responded to our inquiries promptly via phone and email. His patience during the back-and-forth decision changes on the exterior color was particularly notable. As is to be expected for MINI fanatics, we knew the detail of our MINI's production and delivery status through web sites and ASK MINI; we did not rely on Bob for that info once we received our production number/VIN.

The delivery went very smoothly. The car was prepared cleanly and accurately. The dealer accessories were installed to a high standard of finish. All paperwork was ready for signing which resulted in more time being spent on the instruction and testing of the MINI's features. Bob provided a thorough explanation of the car's operation and the use of the accessories (roof rack).

We did not take a trip to the service department but we were informed that a change has been made to that area. A new Service Advisor has been hired; her name is Sharlene Moeller. Omar and the previous Service Advisors were serving interim roles pending the hiring of a dedicated SA. We are very pleased with New Country and with Bob Craig in particular. However, a full picture of customer satisfaction with New Country has yet to be drawn, pending the respone to future servicing needs.

I did recently call Ms. Moeller to inquire about the pending V.36 ECU software. Unfortunately, she was not aware of the pending fix for the MCS stumble/yo-yo/bog-thing. This was somewhat surprising to me since there seems to be fairly wide-spread knowledge of this issue and of the pending fix. Perhaps this can be chalked-up to the her newness in the position. Only time will tell.
