I buy MINIs, lots of them! If you are going to buy, take the following advice (1400 MINIs on the road in the UK, and counting...)

1. Go to your nearest dealer. There's always someone free, and so's the coffee and pastries. Why phone? You'll never get through.
2. Get the dealer to go through all the spec, and if you need one, get a quote.
3. SHOP AROUND!

Dealers have an allocation of cars. If they buy up their allocation, their waiting list is longer. Phone all the BMW MINI dealerships in the country, you will find some dealers can quote you weeks, instead of months. They will transport the car to you.

Dealerships rely on you taking your car in for repairs & maintenance, so no need to feel bad about buying 'out of town.'

Some dealers, even of the same group, will quote different lead times!
